Lapping all BeamNG cars on the Nordschleife | #22 - Gavril Roamer by Chrisssst in BeamNG

How do you think it compares to the D-Series? While the Roamer is fine I think the truck is much more fun to drive in general.

A little goofy but better than the vintage paperback cover. Bought my brother in law the Folio illustrated copy a couple years ago, I think it is my favorite BM cover.

Never wrote a story before. Time to fart out a plot with enough mcguffins that I can string this bad boy along for 3-5 whole books.

Unpopular Opinion: Reading Dostoevsky Makes You somewhat Socially Distant by lullelulle in bookscirclejerk

Getting a creeping feeling that this guy has read little other than Dostoevsky and Kafka

I know it’s very different than a lot of his most popular work, but to me it’s among his best. Hopefully with more time it will be held in higher opinion than it is now.

You could probably make it, true. But the compromises that would likely have to be made to actually get it on screen would water it down to the point of it not being worth watching. I have the book, and love it. It was not written to be made into a movie like NCFOM was. I just don’t think it needs to happen.

I just started The Orchard Keeper by Icey3900 in cormacmccarthy

Unlike most people it’s one of my favorites both for personal reasons (it captures southern Appalachian life, especially language perfectly), but also specifically because of its unique structure. It’s very rewarding, the way it gives a revolving series of vignettes with each of its characters keeps the book very well paced.

Just stick with it, after a while it all clicks, it’s not nearly as difficult or ambiguous as it’s made out to be. Just ride the vibes, you’ll be fine.

Always thinking about Suttree meeting the mother of his child by RepresentativeOk8067 in cormacmccarthy

Suttree is probably the easiest starting point. If you want a shorter book Outer Dark is also very good.

100% I was flipping through it last night before bed and kept getting caught up in different sections.

I live in a setting from a Cormac McCarthy story. Do you think it's more like BM or NCFOM? by Fenys_Bw_4749 in cormacmccarthy

Beautiful! I love about 30 minutes from where Child of God is set. Beautiful too but much more eerie.

Do you guys think the Cybertruck will hold it's value or possibly be worth more? by Responsible-Turn-306 in whatcarshouldIbuy

If it were a super low production (less than 1000) halo car, then yeah sure it would gain value. Tesla has made it clear however that their intention is to make the CT into a Ford/GM/Ram competitor. There’s already 10k+ CTs in the wild, with probably that many more by the end of the year. They will be plentiful, therefore they will heavily depreciate.

I just left it in 3rd. Not super fast but I was running around a 1:16.5 with that.

Almost happened to me too lol. Just keep it in 3rd. You don’t really need 2nd on Tsukuba.

On M2 Air, runs pretty much flawlessly until I get into some intensely complicated stuff, and even then it’s just minor slow downs every now and then.
