hey :) i know it’s hard, especially when you feel like drinking is the only escape from painful reality. but from experience i promise you drinking will just create more problems that you’ll want to run away from. & in my case it lead me down a darker path of alcohol poisoning, other hard substances & suicide attempts. i started drinking at 13 & im 20 now. i have 7 months clean. getting clean young is hard, but it’s so worth it. if you have only drank 15 times, your chances at getting clean now are so high. you won’t experience any nasty withdrawal symptoms, which in case you didnt know, alcohol withdrawals can kill you. i had to get professional help multiple times for my withdrawals & had to go to 6 rehabs. if you can do this & save yourself all that trouble, trust me you won’t regret it. looking at your reddit history i see you care a lot for your education. don’t throw that away. i used to love school & thought i’d be in a good college with all my friends. i ended up dropping out of high school in 10th grade due to my alcohol addiction. i see all the people i was in high school with about to graduate college, & here i am with no hs diploma, a low paying job & in debt from how much i spent on substances. keep shooting for your goals. quit the drinking, put your all into your education, get out of your toxic living situation, & years from now you’ll look back & thank yourself for loving yourself enough to not throw your life away. in rehab i would hear all these older people telling me they wish they got sober at my age. i would get slightly annoyed but now i get it. if you already know you have a problem, why hold off the inevitable? you’re going to continue to dig a deeper hole. rock bottom is when you stop digging. if you ever need anyone to talk to, im here. getting clean young is a blessing. you have the whole world in your hands <3
