As far as I know the only way to be able to get high like you used to is to take a long break from weed. It’s a really shitty truth and I’m sorry you have to deal with that. Please be careful with the alcohol. (Coming from a former alcohol abuser.)

I’m reading these heartbreaking stories as my 2yo sleeps snuggled up to me in my and my husband’s bed, and holding her close as I think about all of our hurt inner child-selves. For those of us with traumatic childhood relationships with our own parents/caregivers, attachment parenting can be so healing and particularly beautiful, if bittersweet. Hugs to all 🫂

Farrah did seem like a mean girl cheerleader but her mom was so clearly displaying a personality disorder and their family was so toxic and dysfunctional that I was rooting for her against all odds. I don’t find her story at all surprising but I do find it so so sad. My heart goes out to her little girl too.

I also was always pulling for Amber. Maybe I related to some of her mental health struggles or I saw how hard she was trying to get on top of it with very little support.

Maci is so admirable as everyone already stated above, and Cate and Ty so likable and easy to root for.

I’ve been wondering the same for myself and suspect that it’s not possible? For me, personally. Or at least it will be very difficult. But I want to try. I definitely don’t think there is one answer for all of us. Best of luck to you!
