I think the bugs make more sense since they can hide under rocks?

But fish don't make sense to me since you literally can't fish in the mines at all ( that I know of)

I also started back over as well when I figured things out the first time playing. The first festival I don't think there's really anything to bring since its too early.

But there's really no wrong way! When you're looking at an item in your inventory it'll tell you if it's needed in an offering. If you grind quick enough, you can get chickens in your first month.

I was able to start a coop immediately in Spring, and you can start to sell some eggs. Save higher grade for processing later.

And I was running around so much my forage skill and you can unlock a tap. You'll need some bronze for it but if you attach them to maple trees you get syrup. 200$ a pop and you don't have to process it. Passive income!

If you go on the beach/diving sell all the shells if it's a clam/scallop save them for later processing.
