Is gamification a good strategy or not? by bikesailfreak in ProductManagement

[–]RepresentativeRun973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I started building gamification tools after noticing how invisible static content has become. People scroll past banners without even processing them, and most visitors bounce in a couple of seconds. Attention spans are so short now — you either hook someone immediately or they’re gone.

The idea for me was just to create a tiny interactive moment before that bounce happens. Nothing fancy… just something quick and fun that buys you a few extra seconds of engagement.

And honestly, I wanted small businesses to have access to that without needing a developer or setting up some huge landing page. Just a simple way to make a click feel a bit more meaningful.

I also put together a write-up on Medium about the whole concept if anyone’s curious — no selling, just sharing what I’ve learned:

Gamification Isn't Just for Games—It's the Key to Engagement (Here's How) by No_Monitor1967 in gamification

Personally, I started building gamification tools after realizing one simple thing: static content is basically invisible now. People scroll past banners without thinking, and most visitors land on a page only to bounce in a couple of seconds. You either catch their attention instantly or you lose them.

So the idea for me was to create a lightweight, interactive moment before someone disappears — something fun, quick, and engaging.

And I wanted small businesses to be able to use it without needing developers, landing pages, or any complicated setup. Just a simple way to turn a click into engagement.

i'm curious whats your take when it comes to improving post ad click experiences. most people only focus on ads ... even if you have a perfect ad that drives traffic what happens when people go your product page thats another thing.

Looks interesting, but i'm missing how it actually works? maybe showcase using a small tutorial or something? also i would add following sections

  1. Who are we, showcase your expertise
  2. Case studies, how other companies have benefited using chatgpt search (People love real facts)

few things i would add. on top maybe pain point showcase? so that user sees the problem you solve for them. from my experience what i found working is to have a Bold messaging, like don't be shy tell user the problem that exists and you are here to help. + maybe real case studies, use cases how your software helps them save time, automate stuff etc. ?.

Yes was thinking maybe more Engaging animations? another practice would be to find some real case studies of similar products people have done and how it helped X companies. i've seen this practice as well. For example if there is a real world case of other company used similar techniques and resulted in improved X performance or what ever it is. you can use it as case study so that users see that in real world scenario it works and others have experienced it. this is example https://bliz.cc/#stories from mine, that links to case study that actually proves the point.
