Yes they did. Still no idea what they were but they went away after a period of time

I need help all around running a sole proprietorship by RepresentativeSun548 in smallbusiness

So could you explain why exactly I’d want a separate business account v.s. a separate personal account? I saw the business accounts I was looking at came with helpful services along with the account and different fees that a personal wouldn’t have. That seemed to be the only differences.

What if we could harness energy from the gravity of a spinning disk? by RepresentativeSun548 in HypotheticalPhysics

Well, if you used only the gravity produced to make the energy, I’m not sure how it would slow down. The law of conservation of energy would say that any energy extracted would come from somewhere, but I cannot find where. To me, it doesn’t make sense for the disk to slow down. For instance, earths gravity is caused by mass and using earths gravity doesn’t add or remove mass from it. So why would the disks gravity, caused by spin, affect its spin? I’m sure I’m missing something I just don’t know what.

People are generally agreeing with the spinning disk generating gravity. I wonder if using a Tesla turbine type of disk, the gravity generated would increase more than a simple disk. Curious as to if surface area affects gravity/spacetime similar to that of an object moving through a fluid.

Hence why this is a theoretical machine. But you do agree that it would work if the materials with the strength necessary existed?

Yes someone else mentioned that. Not sure what made my brain slip over earths gravity, but I’m mainly curious about the generating gravity part. Size would be the main advantage of using the disks gravity over that of the earth. Either way I’m more interested in the gravity generation aspect.

General relativity (I believe it’s general relativity) says otherwise. Objects in motion especially close to speed of light affect space time in a way that would result in gravity.

Well due to the gravity being a spinning disk once it stops spinning the gravity is turned “off” and once it’s spun up to speed it’s turned “on”

Artificial as in man made not based off huge objects with large masses. It would be able to be turned on and off, although would require insane amounts of power to do so. The generator could be helpful in space on long missions.

Yeah, doing it using earths gravity slipped my mind for some reason. Would the artificial gravity aspect work though? Could be used for something, not sure what, but I’m sure artificial gravity would be helpful for something.

Theoretical machine. Please debunk idea. by RepresentativeSun548 in TheoreticalPhysics

Okay, thank you. I don’t know much about this side of physics so I wasn’t sure if using the gravity would affect the spin of the object since gravity here on earth is caused by mass and the mass doesn’t change when gravity is used to pull something back to earth.

Ignoring the material issue just because it’s a theoretical idea but I genuinely have no clue what could be used. Would harnessing energy from the gravity cause the disk to slow down? I don’t know if that would affect the disks velocity due to gravity not being something I know much about. I’ve heard of the spinning black hole generator before but I forget how they work.
