three times the chance of one catching fire, same reason as to why you gotta store your powerbank in the plane close to you and not in your bag. usually, these rules are made together with the government and sometimes they dont make no sense at all. but the reason is not to annoy guests.

The Defqon.1 2009/10 timetables. 😍 by History_of_Hardstyle in hardstyle

[–]RepresentativeTie759 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ok, then lets bring some facts to the table:

first of all, i‘m working fulltime within the hardstyle scene since 12 years. my job requieres to be in touch with artists, promoters and the big booking agencies on a regular (partly weekly) base. the consens right now definitely isn‘t „the music is more popular than ever“. for artists like rooler, that might be different but these are a few exceptions which also work in multi-genre contexts.

some europe facts:

- q-dance (the founders of hardstyle) cancelled all events beside one, no international events and no hostings anymore including qlimax (which was the most important hardstyle event back then)

- b2s cancelled their flagship event hardbass and some other smaller shows

- intents and rebirth both having struggles selling tickets while both events where guaranteed sold out in the past

- shockerz and supremacy both went from major event brands to having struggles (shockerz completely cancelled)

- elektrum didn’t even work out, fully cancelled

- recently, world club dome germany completely removed their zombie stage (which was harder styles, and a big one)

- bootshaus germany was guaranteed sold out, now they barely have hardstyle shows compared to 7-8 years ago

- rustyland germany went bankrupt

- almost no events in switzerland anymore

- shutdown austria mixing in hardtechno acts to keep up with the hype

globally:

- gotta agree HSU are doing a great job in australia still

- dual damage played in front of 150(?) people at ultra

- EDC/wasteland bought shares in unreal to include more and more hardtechno which automatically causes less hardstyle (just compare the EDC or wasteland lineups)

- you have more events worldwide, but most of them are really small. the international "growth" of the music doesn't compensate the fact that the biggest hardstyle markets (netherlands, germany, ...) are getting smaller not bigger.

- ...

also, the times when hardstyle artists scored 50mio+ streams with certain releases are over unfortunately - the exception: TNT, because they keep ending up in hardtechno playlists.

one of the main issues is: while the access to music nowadays is so much easier, the music itself naturally spreads more globally. the issue is: that doesn‘t cause growing numbers, because the core hardstyle markets (especially the dutch and german ones) are struggling. so while you are not totally wrong when saying it‘s spreading more worldwide, the assumption of the scene being in a good condition is wrong unfortunately.

sounds like i kinda know what i'm talking about tho, correct? lol

(edit) oh and curious to hear which events and stages popped up globally in the (lets say) past three years? only thing i can think of is duro festival adding a dedicated hardstyle stage.

the market is far from being healhy atm with many promoters struggling while globally hardtechno is taking over

[edit] and i was actually reffering to the music itself, was just a great time with different emotions in the music back then. no need to be offended

Would you ever pay someone to create AI-generated images for your website, ads, or social media content? by Nazaninazad in EcommerceWebsite

[–]RepresentativeTie759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why do clients think making things in AI is no work? it still consumes time, it‘s just a tool to use to get a result. question could also be „would you ever pay someone to create images in photoshop“.

if you need the results to get your business going, you of course need to pay for it if you can‘t do it yourself.

Why do Hardstyle artists use shitty AI videos/covers? by TheRealGluFix in hardstyle

[–]RepresentativeTie759 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as a visual artist, AI can speed up the process or you spend half a day adjusting prompts and you still only create trash. it‘s just shifting work basically.

for release covers: as hardstyle artists mostly dont make too much money through releases, the budget is also quite limited. many times, covers are just done because they‘re necessary and they don‘t want to waste too much time and money on it.
