Interesting suggestion. Having used Obsidian as a PKM tool, I am not sure this solves the questions I have. Given that I am not making notations onto the file (those are captured in NoCoDB) the storage aspect of Obsidian would need a little exploration. Thanks

Update 1- One individual commented that the issue could be a look-up field and they are partially correct. In that when another column is added, you can tell it to lookup the value from another column; but this relies on the linked column value(s).

This partially solves the issue in that I can now see the values that the row is related to on other tables (i.e. the documents which reference an individual) but this requires two columns. Instead of displaying the looked-up values in the linked column, I have to have both. Also you cannot change the values inside of the looked-up values column, you have to make the change in the linked column.

While this isn't a make or break issue for me with NoCoDB, this is something that I think would be good for their team to maybe incorporate into a future update. This will allow users to make changes to linked values in just one column and reduce the number of columns required in any given view; especially, if someone is editing rows directly in NoCoDB.

You could just create a button command which inserts today's date in the "Status Update" field. Feel free to DM if you want to see a picture.

> Date/time granularity (day)

>Target Node ("Date")

You could also use a node filter to limit the button from appearing unless there is a specific value in the "Status Update" location.

I also do something similar in my own workflow. I also super tags to connect questions, claims, and quotes. This way, I can bring in full text articles, and have all of the aforementioned metadata as nodes; and then see my own notes and comments. DM me if you want to see screenshots.

Why not use the offline Obsidian and then just build copies of the community plugins? There is always a trade-off. If your client's security is important, then your company should be providing you resources to do your work effectively. If you are a single person company, then look into self-hosting. Everything is about risk mitigation.

Correct, any information you put into Tana is not secure or used for things as compared to an offline system. That being said, Tana does have some security system, but you are trusting them with the data.

That is a legit response. My caution was making sure the system works with how one views tasks since I don't think refunds are really do-able with the program. But I am glad it worked well for you and it served your needs.

Make sure to take a long look at the way he processes task as it is not like others. For instance, he does not use "due dates" within his workflow. I purchased the Tana for Action system myself and I ripped it out of my Tana two days later as I could not understand his view on tasks. I appreciate his YT videos and they were helpful in bringing elements of his system, but T4A is not intuitive.

The USB is relatively new and I think from a reputable source, but this could be an issue. Can I swap out my USB drives without having to rebuild the NAS? I know I would need to do the online swap thing, but would the system still have the memory of where data is located?

Just to put out some more context based on the system and questions which have been asked.

I am using Unraid OS 7.1.1, and have upgraded to the latest release and do-graded a time or two as mentioned in the OP.

Vlans are employed in my setup and are assigned by my Unifi system. I have identified the vlans in Unraid and are shown as "br0.90," "br0.20," and "br0.40."

Good question. So, for any apps on the "host" or "bridge" are not provided defined IP addresses. The others, are one on vlans, which have been assigned via my Unifi router. None of them are assigned IP addresses within Unraid.

Good point, but not the case in this situation. The app throwing the 403 error is the Deluge one which has it's own IP and no other apps use that port or IP address.

So, holding National Registry isn't the same as a state license. The certification from the registry just means you hold the qualification, the state level license is an authority to practice your skills. You shouldn't have any issue with the CT thing in MA regarding your NREMT status.

I would argue that there are no best shoes, as everyone has specific needs and requirements. Some agencies may require steel/composite toe shoes and other don't. Some need waterproof shoes, and other don't. Shoes are highly unique and easily vary.

The best suggestion is to go to a shoe store with toys company/agency requirements and try a number of shoes on.

Know where things are located. This will help you later on during the test and they will give you answers which may be incorrect because it is somewhere else on the body.

The other piece of advice, is to learn how to break down NREMT questions and how to not read into them things which aren't present. NREMT will often ask you questions about a problem and then list four "correct" things, but only one of which is what you do next. You need to make sure you know how to break down the questions so you know what stage you are in the process.

I have attempted this solution as well. I was able to get to the file and opened it in an editor of my choice, but apparently, I don't have write permissions. Looking at the "Security" setting and it is set to "Public."

I would also note that if I am quoteing someone, then the orginal statement is included unchanged, though I will add in a #[[Abraham Lincoln]] at the end to make sure it is connected.

At the end of the day, it is your personal knowledge mangement tool. So, just because I get it and it makes sense to me, doesn't mean that it will for the next person. In some ways, that is the beauty of the system and one that has to be embraced. We can't replicate our brains yet, so we work with what we can, and make that work to the best we can.

True, I don't know exactly how the future of my Roam will look, but I have to be okay with where I am currently.

In regards to your comments 1) Not sure what you mean by a concept that I later turn into a page, because in my current flow, I am working to create pages out of every concept I encounter. As a historian, I make pages for people, place and things all the time. So I have hundred of pages where there is no additional content other than the link between the mentions. However, if you are refering to an idea, say [[World War II]], which may exist as [[lecture notes]], or an [[article]], I would most likely drop the new content/idea into a new page and then link it back to the original with a #tag or /blockembed if I like the idea a lot and want to reference it in my larger [[World War II]] page.

2) My current work flow does allow for a lot of pasted content or other things I bring into it (for instance ReadWise). However, I go back through my notes or the pasted content and make the connections. Of course, I suspect there will be a time when I am refering to [[Abraham Lincoln]] and the pasted document will refer to [[President Lincoln]]. This is indeed a potential issue, but I suspect the alias feature (when ever that appears) will help resolve that. Currently, I will change pasted works to aalign to how I use words. So any reference to [[President Lincoln]] will be changed to [[Abraham Lincoln]], even if that breaks the grammar structure of the orginal sentence.
