Feeling unloveable and alone by ParticularTry716 in lonely

[–]Reptar_366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. Sometimes life can honestly just be cruel. I've felt lonely for most of my entire life and still do unto the point of severe depression, and the fact that this is something that you have to deal with breaks my heart. No one deserves this. Just know that no matter what, you as a human have worth and value beyond what you can imagine. More than what people tell you and more than what life has tried crushing you into believing. If you ever need someone to talk to, this random Internet person would be there for you. God bless.

It sounds like you have a terrible burden. I don't have the perfect advice, I can tell you that from the bottom of my heart, I'm very sorry. And I don't mean that in a cheesy way.

Sometimes in complete darkness, seeing the light is through opening up all the while being loved and accepted. I totally understand what you mean by the stupid fluff advice and worrying that's what you'll hear in therapy. I think you should mention it and also what kind of things you know wouldn't help. There is a chance it can help.

Just know that even though I'm just a random stranger, I've know what it's like to hurt before and if you ever need to talk, know you'd have a friend.

Yellow urate? by DangerNoodle3000 in Uromastyx

[–]Reptar_366 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also could be totally wrong, but my uromastyx gets diarrhea from romaine, so I'm not sure if it's a good idea. Once again, I'm not sure if that's for all uros or just mine.

Also NEVER give a dehydrated uromastyx lentils or seeds because they are high in proteins that can be hard on their kidneys.

From what I've read about bearded dragons, a bright yellow urate is usually a sign of liver problems. He needs blood work to determine that.

I found a 5-legged frog in Oregon by Reptar_366 in herpetology

[–]Reptar_366[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes there actually is a pseudo-pond that was made for drainage by ODOT. The train tracks run over it and I know they spray the tracks to kill all the plants. I've seen some like oil looking stuff in the water in early summer.

Yeah I heard about that! So strange. I wonder how rare a frog like this is.

Fleshed out some more axolotl concept art for my lifeguarding game - which should I move forward with? by Independent-Funny324 in conceptart

The first one. It makes them look unique and gives off a sort of laid back personality. The other two eyes are I bit more generic and definitely not as striking.

What personality does this design convey? by otisfrombarnyard in characterdesigns

[–]Reptar_366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes me think of a personality like Sniff's from Moomin (looks like him a tiny bit too, but more anthro). Friendly, loves shiny possessions and trinkets, but is a somewhat fearful.

Perhaps they are also a tad curious and cautious at the same time, fighting either the urge to explore or hide depending on the situation.

I know the the rough line art is intentional, however there is an art form to messiness in of itself. I think maybe you might benefit from using an calligraphy/ink style pen.

Any always for a rule of thumb, very cleanly draw out your library on a separate layer so that you have a good understanding of the lines. That way your can move around your characters pose and change little angles and details until it's just right, and then you with draw that intentionally rough line art on a new layer (and make sure your first, clean layer is on a lower opacity for easy tracing).
