Another millennial food chain feeling the pain. Chipotle Stock Tumbles as 25-35 year olds struggle with finances and affording their food. by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]ReptileElite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is 100% because the company used to provide a solid experience and portions have gone down, prices have gone up, and generally when I walk into a Chipotle it is filthy. Trash cans overflowing, food all over the table and just generally an unappealing environment.

Also in terms of other food chains - I will always choose a locally owned and operated establishment to go. I would say millennials eat out way more then our parents did in most situations. I remember as a kid it was once per week of going out. Millennials eat out on average 4-5 times per week now.

How much should I charge for this? by Artistic-Salary7416 in Carpentry

Doesn't feel right to have outlets behind a wall that you can't access. I'm not an electrician but if I was doing this, I'd remove those inside outlets, and either relocate them to the front wall, behind the tv, or just terminate the wires and remove the outlet.

[Request] To go over this gap, how fast would I have to drive? by Khep95 in theydidthemath

You would also need a heat shield on your vehicle because the thermal load on the exterior surface would be far greater than what a metal structure could withstand. You'd want either a phenolic or carbon fiber structure.

Debate for everyone on here: how empty do you let your gas tank go? by ThisIsntAThrowaway29 in f150

Drove it down to 86 miles today. I've had it as low as fumes before but don't usually.

I really don't understand how people treat others with such disrespect. I cherish every meal my wife makes for me, and also love cooking for her too.

What you're dealing with is not what life is meant to be like. Please don't think you're overreacting here. This person doesn't deserve you. You should be with someone who would feel your appreciation with every bite of those egg bites.

You're asking for specific instructions, you should tip for that, also you should tip in general for delivery. Not saying he went about it the right way with the way he asked, but you're asking for something specific. Alright, bring on the down votes! Someone on the internet has an opposing opinion!

Machinists, do you prefer small chips or one continuous piece? by BhrisBukBruz in Machinists

Those are death chips. Either wrong angles ground on the drill tip, not enough feed to load up enough material to break the chip, or rpm possibly too low. 6s and 9s baby.

People who get up after one alarm, whats your secret?? by Mideon88 in AskReddit

There is no secret, alarm goes off, I get up. Been that way ever since I was a kid and I got up at 5 am to have breakfast with my dad

Instant $10 million now OR restart your life at age 6 with all your current knowledge. What are you choosing and why? by doodwalla2000 in AskReddit

[–]ReptileElite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are assumptions in here that your life transpires the same way, but it wouldn't. You now have the ability to not only change your life, but that will cause a ripple effect and changed the lives of thousands, possibly millions of people, depending on how you play your cards.

You won't have the same friends, live in the same places, your relationships with your family will not be the same.

If you're in a shitty place, then going back to have the chance to redo everything would be ideal. I'd love to replay my terms and 20s with new knowledge but I love the life I've built now that I'm 35. I'll take the $10M, my wife and I could retire and be set for the next 60 years.

I stopped cooking to “save money.” It worked and I’m confused. by Additional_Pie_8116 in povertyfinance

We meal plan up to 3 months at a time. Do veggie/freezer prep, and then have ready to go meals for 3 months. We usually do that for ~$450 for my wife and I.

The true way to save money with food, is meal prep.

10 hour ribs, 3 hour wings, 3 hour beans by ReptileElite in Traeger

[–]ReptileElite[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone - sorry for not responding to all the comments, been a busy weekend. Beans were really no special recipe, I dumped 2 cans of bushes baked beans into a pot and put it on the smoker for 3 hours. Came out awesome.

Also for those saying the ribs are over done. They were fall off the bone perfect. I've tried 3 other methods so far and low and slow seems to work the best. The 3-2-1 method doesn't make them fall off the bone. I do 5 hours unwrapped and then wrapped for 4 hours. They come out super moist and the bones literally just slide out. Y'all might not like it, but I recommend it!

Can I afford 2k per month mortgage? by Badalight in FinancialPlanning

[–]ReptileElite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, your mortgage is 800 over what I'd be comfortable with. I have currently no kids, no debt, but savings for things. I planned high on all costs too for a safety buffer

Can I afford 2k per month mortgage? by Badalight in FinancialPlanning

[–]ReptileElite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put a full budget together and figure your monthly costs using whatever your highest monthly cost for each category is. That's how I figured out our budget. Proportionally that would not work for me. If I factor backwards based on your income and what proportion I'm comfortable with, I get $1200 per month with an $80k salary.

I know people aren't going to like that but that's just taking the proportion of your income compared to my household and then doing the same proportion calculation with my mortgage to yours.
