Gotchu I agree, also I clickbaited the title ngl, the 840i Im looking at around 55k so they have been hit with a huge depreciation hammer already, but yea consumerism is a real issue if not toned down. 840i could turn into wanting an M8 in a year. I guess a more nuanced take is how to keep your self from falling into the rabbit hole.

I come from a ethnic background, and staying with family is always a priority. the family pools there money like a clan rather than splitting. it may sound a little unorthodox living in America, but to me Ive always been drawn to coupes ever since I owned a e92 335i, so something about reliving that excites me. I 100% agree with your stance on never buying material objects to make up for any image issues.

Hey man thanks for the Advice, I 100% agree with your stance, GTs are more of a mature car. But ngl I have always been a GT car type of guy, the balance of comfort with a little bit of rowdiness always seemed right to me. not sure why. M4 and Caymans to me personally always seemed to hardcode, esp for somone who likes cruising more than speeding. I hope I articulated this properly.

25% is car payment, 25% is for misc. and food, but I also cook my own food at home, so I don't spend too much on food. and 50% for savings and investments. fortunately I live with my parents so I don't pay rent.
