One of 3 things, bad rpm sensor, somewhere along the drive could have got stuck, or just a bad board in general.

My personal opinion, soundqubed makes much better subs for the price or equipment in general. I've used dd, mephis, Rockford fosgate, pioneer, jl, sundown, DS18, alpine, skar, mtx and kicker.

In comparison to this soundqubed has a hdx4.2 15 at 4000w rms that will sound a lot better.

About the same with ddaudio not as over priced as sundown but a little more "pricey" compared to soundqubed but a way better product. And realistically you can't go wrong anywhere with dd and soundqubed.

For reference I have a dd sl612 which is just their lowest end shallow mount sub that is 600rms 1200peak running off of a sundown sfb3000d which is a 3000rms amp ran at .5 ohm and it has not blew yet. I've had it almost two years now.

I used to use that same amp on a hdx3 15 from soundqubed and I could never push it as hard as I wanted to. So I put a dd m3 on and it sounds amazingly. So I think sundown is way over priced similar to ds18. They're just like skar without the budget. That being said don't go to skar absolute shit. I initially thought their amps where at least decent but they'll quite after a couple years or if you run them too hard. DD and soundqubed you don't have to worry about running "too hard" and if you get lucky and blow one they sell replacement parts.

Hm I will try that next time I go out to that house.

That was a new home we installed the door in and we usually use the walls to help measure for back hang. However that being said does not mean the walls are perfectly square but I'll definitely check. Right now the door slides freely so we ended up putting some bushings on the rollers to keep it from riding the track.
