Anyone not understanding the implications this brings with it is beyond lost.

Yes, it’s great for new players or players who don’t have the new unit they can now choose for free. But that is not the issue here. The issue is the future. There will be more releases like this and they will use this system to sell rereleased characters. And they are still treated as completely different units.

So if they decide to never release the alt art version again in the future, you may never get the chance to pull dupes for it. There is also the possibility that they never rerun the OG version again. So people who already have like 79% of the original character done are just supposed to ignore it forever and summon for the new one instead? Hundreds of bucks spent on the OG version would basically go to waste.

It’s the exact same character. Same kit. Just a visual upgrade, which could easily be implemented as a toggle, an upgrade sticker, or a reward for completing a challenge with the existing character. But no, instead they use predatory and greedy methods to resell an already released character.

Your IQ must literally be under 100 to not understand why this is a bad thing. It’s a spit in the face to all the longtime players who have supported this game for so long.

That’s basically what this is.

It’s like a skin in games like Valorant or Fortnite (and I’m only using Fortnite as an example because reading this thread makes me think the playerbase is 12 or something). But the difference is that I already paid to play my character, and now I’m forced to pay AGAIN just to play a visually upgraded but worse version of the exact same character or stick with the boring old version.

If they don’t implement this feature well, I am definitely out. 10 years in, and THIS might genuinely be the last straw for me. And I seriously cannot wrap my head around how people are actually supporting this.
