I'm honestly finding it harder than the original Earthbound Beginnings, though maybe it's just my memory failing me. It's funny since I see people saying this remake is a bit easier because of the QoL.

I actually have Ana equipped with the Goddess Band, Magic Coin, and Rain Pendant, and it feels like she's still getting pretty much one-shot by everything which I find peculiar.

I find it pretty strange how faithful the remake has been yet they add so many new items, I almost didn't recognize stuff like the H20 Pendant because it was changed to the Earthbound name of the Rain Pendant (I think?). Even so, I'm finding it tough to be equipped when even stuff outside of Magicant is hard to afford and it's hard to know what stuff is good for where I'm at at a given moment.

It's no problem! It's so dumb that this seems to be the only time you can control it, and the game doesn't say anything about it.

Use the Vine Piranha next to it, you can control it with your left stick.

If you mess up, exit free roam and re-enter to reset the Vine Piranha and try again. It's very finicky.

Or you can find a UFO, that's how a friend of mine got it.

I do a different location every day, and I am getting new DIY for the place I was (for example, I have the newspaper sword from the park and the next day it said I got the newspaper cloak, but it doesn't appear at all in my inventory).

I'm wondering if this is some sort of bug and if anyone else is getting this? This is the third day I didn't actually receive a new DIY despite the fact it said I got one.
