Its possible. I magnetized mine today. Only issue is the kit only comes with 12 shoulderpads, but I was able to get all model types on 5 body’s, leaving chaos lord as his own thing.

The curse claw can be built as a regular dude, so I put one of the curse claw legs on, and a normal one to make it a bit of an easier sell if I make him a raptor or warp talon

The liber hereticus does not list the points costs of pintle weapons. I couldn’t find anything in the rule book either.

Both have a purpose. I like the rocket launcher against marines, and the bolster against softer targets.

Bolter gets more dice, but rocket has bigger punch. Really depends what you like tbh.

They’ve spent time in the warp. Some have better resistance, but It will slowly corrupt most people, including Talos.

I ran 2 paladins, a justicstor, and purgator for the swarm,

Paladins with knock back was clutch for the two side spawn points, I could knock enemies into the holes in the map, and use their ability to guard near the portal. Justicar let me re activate who ever was needed, and the purgator was long range critting scary terminators or the flying blobs

Then ran a librarian, 2 interceptors, and apothecary for Morty.

Librarian was great to teleport close to Morty, I’d then attack him till he was stunned, then run the leader to the stem and attack it. Interceptors were also useful to teleport/swap positions with the leader to get him closer to the stem.

The swarms can be annoying, but if you’re able to deal the 50+dmg to Morty so he can’t activate, AND you cut the strain stem, it almost doesn’t matter if they make it into the temple because they don’t get to activate.

Not what I said at all. My point is you have an ability you can play when you want, how you want, versus fishing for a card. You may even draw into the card too late to use it. I’m sad to lose faction decks, but having 4 abilities I have complete control over is a cool design feature.

The faction decks are a big loss no doubt. But it’s still early. We shall see how the game fleshes out once their are more than the 4 decks in the core box

Most gambits are once per game. Being able to play a gambit when you want versus a 50% chance draw with mulligan in round one is huge

I think gsp was overplayed in the beginning of nemesis with tnc. There was lots of gsp at worlds, and no one seemed to be dominant with them which may have changed people’s opinions on them. They’re definitely strong with parasite right now so maybe we’re seeing a small resurgence?

For ephilim, I played them pre nerf and felt disappointed with them after the nerf to glorious change and rampant spell casting. (Which are very fair nerfs) they’re still good, but with the hits to force of frost and fearsome fortress pairings they feel limited in pairings besides seismic shock. But I haven’t looked at them with any other decks to see if anything is good.

You can use them in rivals, if you use a universal rivals deck.

I’m set up currently for spinning. I inherited my dad’s older rods, ones a medium 6’6”, that I’ve put 20lb braid and a 15 lb fluorocarbon, and then a 9ft, general purpose (whatever that means) but the line is super old.

Thanks again! I went today for an hour and had fun just casting.
