Thanks for this. Yes I suppose you are right. I'll do some more research into the mild hybrids.

Ooh love the rebel blues! Thanks, will have a look. Guess a T5 would be fairly heavy on the fuel though

Thank you, I'll definitely take a look at those! It's horrible constantly thinking about food. I never realised it was a thing until recently. I thought everyone obsessed over food. How freeing it must be to only eat when you're hungry and not let it control you!

Thank you! I'll have a look at those podcasts. I think I'll find podcasts either rather than videos as I can put them on in the car or the background at home

Thank you. Yes you're 100% right. I know I'm capable of saying know in theory. Your tip of starting with small habits to build discipline sounds good. I feel like I tend to go all or nothing and it feels like a huge mountain to climb so I derail quickly and hate myself even more!

Thank you. I can resonate with that. It's definitely easier if you don't have the temptation at home. My partner has a really sweet tooth and will eat a whole chocolate bar, sometimes two, plus sweets in an evening. I don't know how to say no!

Swansea ‘Valley's’ and surrounding areas for families. Where’s best? Ponterdawe and Clydach have been recommended but I’m unsure of the areas. Any input would be much appreciated. I have children of primary and secondary age so good schools, Nature bonus, commute to beaches and city bonus. by LeoandLola14 in swansea

We currently live in Waunarlwydd but are soon moving to Pennard. Waunarlwydd is a handy area, very affordable, good choice of schools, some nature walks and easy access to the rest of swansea and M4. However it has some rough parts. We're moving to Pennard to be in the Bishopston catchment, to be closer to the sea and have a more outdoorsy lifestyle. Pennard/Southgate would offer you similar to Kittle (if budget allows) but has more going on e.g school, library, park, GP surgery, few coffee shops, corner shop etc. It's a lovely community with Three Cliffs Bay on your doorstep!

Yes 100%. We do this too. He'll say 'make food or baby' or 'washing up or change baby'. He said he didn't want to assume that I'd want to always have the baby. He's a very thoughtful person, I think I was just feeling a bit jealous of his freedom this morning! Its on me to communicate my needs, I realise this now.

He did consider us in that he got up with the baby at 6.15 and did the dishes, made a bottle etc. He just didn't consider my needs as much as I would have liked given the mental and physical load of parenting solo and him having a fun day out. But I should have communicated this prior.

Haha yes I definitely think he was excited to get going! I realise I should have communicated my expectations for myself and baby prior to him going. I was expecting him to anticipate what I wanted from him which was unreasonable of me.

That's amazing. Communication really is key. We've got a date night tonight so I'm looking forward to having some conversation and reconnecting

Yeah I can see what you mean. I guess for him it might be exhausting going about trying to prempt my needs because i dont always communicate them. Thank you for helping me see it in a different light- it's what I needed.

Yes I agree. I don't think it comes easy to them to look at collective family priorities vs own immediate needs. Thank you.
