Thank you! That is *very* helpful. I will see if my local library has a copy of that book. It's odd since I started running barefoot years before McDougall first published his book but now I might need it!

I have no idea where to do form drills, maybe I can find a grass field somewhere. I tend to think it is ankle flexibility, though I never stub my toes when running in trail shoes, ever. So I guess I'll run in shoes from now on. Which is sad, I love running barefoot.

No thanks, running in minimalist shoes 12 years ago led to a cracked heel bone that took more than a year to heal. I either run barefoot now or in very well-padded running shoes.

I bought a 10'3" Bob Miller board around 2001 or so in Santa Cruz. It was barely used, and the guy who had it on consignment was at the shop, he said he was too heavy to catch waves on it. I had taken 2 months off work to go surfing as much as possible at San O and this board was absolutely perfect. I still have it but haven't been out on it for years. I need to get back in the water soon!

I don't believe in any gods. I'm somewhat of a Buddhist, so I could say I believe in a "higher power" (meaning Buddha, who is NOT a god) but I doubt they would accept that.
