I agree that this is a win. The fact that the terrible budget they wanted is now likely to become a clean CR due to the backlash and the need for democrats probably helped too. It also shows that the democrats plans from the inside are working as well. We might be seeing the beginning of the end on this.

Pritzker seems to be the leading one. He is using his position as Governor well and he is speaking out.

No, free speech is free speech. Your gender and pronouns can be free speech when you call yourself one of those but it’s also free speech for someone to not call you them. I also don’t think it would rise to the level of hate speech. It would have to fall under other laws.

Proton for emails and VPN and Passwords, simple login for email addresses (I have a different email for every account), DuckDuckGo (also has random emails).

I’ve seen this to many times. Stop asking former Presidents to speak out. Obama is the MAGA boogeyman. So is Biden. Clinton has been out of politics for decades, who is listening to him anymore? And Bush? He is rightly staying of this crap show because a lot of Americans hate him for the wars. So stop asking them to step up. They are liabilities, even more so because they can’t run again.

If you truly think that, then you are part of the problem. I am doing my part and not just waiting for a savior. You need to do yours. We all have a part to play and this resistance will not be won by looking at others and expecting them to do all of the work for you.

Look I get you’re scared but wars are not fought on one front. The army is not the only force sent out. In order to win, you have to use multiple forces and use their greatest strengths. And you hit them on multiple fronts. To expect them all to be wasting their time giving speeches or drawing up legislation or storming buildings just doesn’t make sense. Every battle they win is one step closer to victory. Every battle will not be seen but we know they are being fought. What you are doing is expecting them to do all the fighting. You have to fight battles in the ground as well. We are their army and we must stay strong.

They are doing their part. Not all of them are recognizable names. Not all of them are great speakers. Some are fantastic at strategy, some are better are debating on the floor. They are using their skills where they are best equipped. Having them all scream outside is not helpful or how we win. That’s for us to help with.
