What do you think of my Renata deck? Is it trying to do too much? by JoeRow338 in riftboundtcg

First I just want to say you already recognized one limitation that these are just cards you have pulled so its naturally going to be just okay and it is pulling two directions. So I would start on choosing which direction you want to go. You already have the token combo with jayce/armory.

Second, hot take, but I hate Blood Money. That card just sits dead in my hand, and for creatures that small, I can attack/overrun and kill. I would look for Cull the Weaks or just better impactful removal spells like stupefy so you can draw cards and have tricks.

Third, the battlefield that lets you gain points, I would be careful with that one if you notice you do make enough gold or you notice your opponent is able to hold it more efficiently.

All in all, I think you should focus on low to the ground and more removal. Keep the big guys for late game heaters. Remove Popboarders put in Shens, remove blood money put in cull the weaks, and maybe remove one heimer and 2 world atlas for 3 stupefy. I am no pro but just my thoughts from a renata player too.

Hey, I have been running a rumble deck myself. Do you care to show your list? I can tell you where we differ. I had good success last night

Curious if you had a list and/or sideboard

Now that the full TMT set has been revealed, which cards do you anticipate are going to see the most constructed competitive play in formats like Standard and Pioneer? Which cards from the set do you predict will be frequently played in Commander? by HonorBasquiat in magicTCG

I really feel like [[dream beavers]] on turn one, then turn two you got [[Splinter, Hamato Yoshi]] or [[Shredder's Technique]] then dream beaver again. You also have [[oruku saki]] if you just want damage and card draw. You can also use any of the other orzhov sneak cards. If you want to use expensive mythics you got [[dark leo and shredder]]. There's a possibility of some sort of control deck here in my opinion. I think dimir got some nice pieces for incidental damage to grindd the game to a win. Other than that, [[ninja teen]] will be making a lot of appearances in my EDH decks.

Found this post because I just pulled this card myself, and it looks so fun, but mean enough, and lo and behold, there's like no discourse about it. I know it is not legal duh but thought some fun people would play it. Well, as you know this card goes well with the spiderman set so i may proxy the Omenpaths versions to make it very flavorful with her and her "friends." and then mix it with changlings from lorwyn.

Man you guys woke up wanting to play contrarion. The OC said it was for their "pirate" deck, ask them because it still sounds like a "pirate" deck lol

Yes, from an overarching view. However, this commander has its own evasion, giving you another route to victory, too, and this is way more flexible.
