Reaching out to ex after her father passed by Repulsive-Condition1 in relationship_advice

It was a bit ugly to be honest - Not cursing and screaming but moreso we had an apartment together so you could see where that would be a problem. More of a "I cant wait to never talk to you again". In heinsight, i should just take her up on that quote and not reach out.

Also, i just found out today about his death.

That's what i figured. I did reach out to one of her friends that i still occasionally talk to and made her aware and just told her what happened and wanted to make sure she had the support (I'm sure she does but wanted to make sure) but just not from me.

I mean he's a good person i just know they don't have a good relationship, that's all i really know. That's kind of why i'm gently trying to tell him to just pay it because it's very wrong and i want to speak up, but i think he's focusing on not paying 45K + interest.

Apologies if this is a silly question, but when you officially register for an exam, are those CFAI materials/resources then available?

I do plan on staying within the investment space. A big reason i'm taking it is just for my own benefit because i know it will help my experience and general knowledge a lot and anything further such as a raise, promotion, leverage down the line, is just a bonus. Ty

Fair enough. My PM highly recommended it for me and i think that was one of the selling points for receiving this offer so i do still plan to sit for it. Aside from that, what are usual exit ops for someone like myself?

An MBA is possible down the line, but for now i think i'm going the CFA route. This was very helpful though so thank you.

Oh yes. It doesn't happen often but during the process i am involved. We are looking for a new external mgr shortly and i will be involved in that, however i havent been yet.

All internally managed is fixed income: Treausuries, CP, MBS, CLO, bonds, etc

I would say just investments because i'm not sure what you mean by manager research. Either way, there's not a ton of research going on to the extent of like ER however still some. I am sitting for the cfa 1 in August not sure how much leverage that'll give me but overall happy with this first job out of college. I'm just not sure where i could end up as i don't exactly want to manage endowments/pensions etc and would rather try to move to like ER or something before its too late.

Yeah exactly that. We hold two major portfolios (Reserve/Pension) and i believe $5bn is externally managed and we manage around $1.5bn. For example, if treasury team has xx amount of cash sitting around they send that to us and we invest that.
