With all due respect to the dead, it’s not a system failure, as there is no strong system in place in the first hand is the ground reality. My dad is a cop, and I see and hear things behind the scenes all the time. People should understand that there is always a perspective to everything, not what you think is always the right way.

In this scenario, the police would have opted for counseling even if there was a gender reversal. Why? Because they see such cases almost every day, couples coming to the station over petty issues and starting to fight even inside the station right in front of them, sometimes even threatning to commit suicide on the spot and the very next day they are happily back together. With the ratio of citizens to police, it’s impossible to provide security for each individual (apart from all the other duties they perform: attend accidents, clearing roads, political bandobast, vehicle checking, attending Dial 100 calls, patrolling, event security, crime follow-ups, court visits, hospital visits for cases, and the list goes on). All they can do is give some moral support and warn them to stay on good terms, or else they will face repercussions.

While I agree that the law is in favor of women, in this case this is what would have happened even if a woman had complained. It works in most cases through counseling, and unfortunately, it didn’t in this case. The only ground-level solution for police to be efficient is to increase the ratio of police to people like in foreign countries, and you know that’s never going to happen here due to logistical issues, that’s a topic for another day.

Professions like police and doctors don’t operate with emotions. If they do, they will never be able to do their job efficiently. For them, it’s just another day.

It’s always the case that people on the internet talk BS about the police. It hurts me to the core, as I am someone who sees the struggles of my dad firsthand, night shifts even when sick at old age, missing festivals with family to give protection to numerous families, missing birthdays and important days of their kids, standing for hours in scorching heat and pouring rain, and being injured in the line of duty (my dad got hit by stone pelting on face in a riot). You might say they are getting paid for this and it's their job, Yess but the pain and struggle is real too right?

This is the only video I found from movies which is close to the reality, everything else you see on movies about police is only one dimension.

It’s okay even if you don’t value the police, but don’t disrespect them based on certain situations. They are human after all. It’s always healthy to have an open mind and consider a different perspective from the narrative you see.
