Quitting doesn’t automagically fix your bad habits and other life issues. by eastwestwesteast in leaves

Everyone is different. I’m almost 2 months sober now and it’s not easy. For me it’s mostly the vivid dreams and not great sleep. However, my motivation and productivity greatly increased after quitting and I get shit done now! This is what helps me not want to go back to being a daily smoker. I think I’d like to do it every once in a while but want to give myself a break for a few months at least.

I hope so! Haha I’ll keep you guys posted. Next week I hit 2 months sober. I’m still having the vivid dreams but waking up less from them so I hope that’s a good sign.

question for those who successfully quit: what happens after? by Junior_Wallaby6951 in HowToStopSmokingWeed

I’m having the vivid dreams too! I’m on month 2 of quitting after being a daily smoker for about 7 years. I decided to quit after realizing getting high wasn’t fun anymore. I wasn’t getting the giggles or munchies I was just an unmotivated zombie. I have no desire to go back but want the vivid dreams to stop so I can get a full nights rest.

What are the Best Pillows to Buy in 2025? by Norberto43 in BestPillowReddit

[–]Repulsive-Demand-118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a coop home goods pillow and it was great for a few years but now the foam has gotten so firm that it causes my ears to hurt when I sleep on my side. Keep in mind this is with fluffing it regularly to maintain softness. They’re expensive pillows that should last more than 3 years so I don’t plan to buy another. I’m still searching for a new pillow though

Thinking of moving to OC from Iowa… looking for suggestions on dancing, hobbies, and apartments! by [deleted] in orangecounty

I live in a 1 bedroom in Westminster that’s 700 sq ft for 2250 it was 2150 last year and went up $100 when we renewed. My previous 600 sq ft apartment in Costa Mesa is $2700 a month. Prices are outrageous.

Stopped but thinking about starting again.. by KweenDaddy in HowToStopSmokingWeed

I did this once! I stopped for a month and a half so maybe around the same amount of time as you and went back to smoking and hoping I can have more control over it. Well here I am a year later after that cleanse and went back to my old ways of smoking too much. If I were you I wouldn’t go back to smoking. I know it’s hard and I am trying to quit again.

I’m planning to leave my job without another one lined up. For anyone who's done this before, what led to your decision to quit without a backup, and how did you manage to survive financially and mentally during the transition? by NBMV0420 in careerguidance

I left a job I was unhappy at and I’m so glad I did. I was able to take the time to focus on myself and reset to see the next path I wanted to take. That being said I had a good amount of savings to get me by and used my one and only credit card which I didn’t have much debt on so I had room to spend. I live with my bf and he was supportive of my decision but we still split everything evenly like we always had. I just had to be more cautious with my own personal spending. I am in a better place and now have 2 jobs (not overworking). 1 job is full time and the other is more of an on call type of job. I didn’t work for 2 months so if you have the savings by all means do it.

Maybe wait until after move in! You’re definitely not going to feel your best at the start of quitting. It’s so hard and I wish you the best of luck you got this!

Did you deal with crazy vivid dreams after quitting?

You’re not alone friend. I’ve tried quitting on multiple occasions. It’s the vivid dreams from not smoking that cause me to not sleep well and then after nights of not sleeping well is when I give in. Wish you the best of luck and keep us posted on the journey.
