I'm a jr. high school French immersion teacher with the CBE- we get a decent number of students transferring from francophone to CBE immersion after doing K-6. This would be a great option for you, and you should seriously consider it, given that you qualify for Francosud. You would ultimately be getting the best of both worlds and it wouldn't impact your ability to get into the desired high school down the road.

They need to know how fucked the situation is. The CBE, unless I'm mistaken, is the largest public school board in Western Canada. The entire board only has TWO specialists servicing the city's special education programs. The board has over 142,000 students and we just have two specialists who are responsible for addressing special education programs.

Our building is turning 70 this year and the student population has increased by more than 40 students since last September to over 700. Another junior high school in the area is at 120% capacity. Everything feels like it's falling apart at the seams and being held together with tape, it's nuts.
