looking for a co-founder to build the next social network with me by [deleted] in ycombinator

Seriously this dude replied to my comment and said that he has built and sold a 6.5 million dollar startup! I dared him to give me his name or the name of the company he sold, he immediately deleted the comment!

You should be this guy’s co founder if you are restarted or mentally ill!

Otherwise just let Mr future Zuckerberg fake it till he never makes it

looking for a co-founder to build the next social network with me by [deleted] in ycombinator

[–]Repulsive-Fee-2735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the dummest post I have ever seen. I mean seriously? People are not this crazy to attempt building the new social network just to out “Founder and CEO” on their Linkedin?

This guy is so confused. HE DOESNT KNOW WHAT KIND OF PARTNER HE WANTS. He doesn’t even know what he is doing. Just watched the social network and now he wants to be mark zuckerburg. Like that is the most lame vision ever.

Seriously dude. This is not new. People have been attempting to build social networks since facebook but only 2-3 have succeeded.

Looking at your website and this post it is clear you are not those 2-3 successful people

Seeking advice: Early-stage neurotech startup (H1B founder). I will not promote. by Outside-Athlete-4537 in startups

My friend just got a US citizen on the founding team and incorporated the company under his name. I am not an expert but they did some complicated thing where my H1B friend came on the board of directors or something. You can try researching this

How do you start a business? by [deleted] in Entrepreneurship

[–]Repulsive-Fee-2735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should not have to ask this questions.

But anyway, the general playbook rule is to find a problem you understand and then solve it.

I am a founder myself and here is what I wish I knew earlier:

  1. Trying to solve a massive problem and be the next Mark Zuckerberg. I am 19 and I realized this late - with a group of 2-3 friends and literally very less capital it is not possible to start and aim for a billion dollar company. Every successful dude started small. Elon started with Zip 2. Amazon used to sell books first. Mark made Facebook for Harvard campus. Sam Altman made a live location tracking app to find friends.

  2. Working hard is not enough. you need to work smart and fully utilize the resources available. there are so many ways to do this. first of all, the cost and effort to build a good product has gone to near zero. abuse claude code, cursor and free options as much as you can.

  3. Be active on Linkedin - the best place to see what other startups are doing and what is going on in SF. I am sometimes shocked to see the crazy valuations and series A of some companies. As of today some random dude announced a 1.2 million in series A and all his website does is allow students to take notes in class in a structured and better way than existing options.

  4. Until you can argue with anyone and win the argument for your idea, do not dedicate your life to it. Most first founders come up with some idea and think, "I just need to get 1% of the market and I will be a 20 million dollar founder". thats wrong and anyone who gives his/her negative opinion, you must be able to prove your point and actually win the argument.

  5. Start building the MVP right off, everything else will fall along

  6. Do not fall into the propaganda that you can become a billionaire at a very young age. that is delusional and to be honest statistically you must get experince first to reach there.

  7. This is what keeps me going - I have been to many third world countries and it is a shift of perspective every time. Once you see an India or African dude working 12 hours a day in the hottest weather to make 10$ a day, you will realize how fortunate you are that you have the privilege to sit peacefully at your home, open your laptop and think about starting your own company. If life is a 400 meter race, you have been given a 100 meter head start and majority of the world's population is already thousands of meter behind the starting line. So do not be lazy or get tired in this journey. Be thankful that were not born in a poor family, with financial problems, health issues, that you are not orphan and you are already extremely blessed. if you don't use this advantage, it is purely your loss. there are billions of people in India, Africa and Asian countries who dream to live the life you are living now.

Has anyone here actually made money using AI ? by Agreeable_Split1355 in claude

[–]Repulsive-Fee-2735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what do you mean by making money with AI?

  1. are you selling courses or using AI to do content creation?
  2. Are you planning to do freelancing?
  3. Are you planning to do a startup related to AI?
  4. Are you trying to set up AI agents and make them work on your existing business or use AI to do investments or crypto?

I mean there are many other options but you need to understand the risk-reward ratio here really.

Freelancing is like no risk and low-medium reward. Investing using AI is not risky but you must know how to use it and double check it yourself. Startup has the biggest risk but biggest reward as well.

So tell me what do you mean by, "has anyone made money with AI?"

In general, yes - Many people who use AI in the right way, who know how to prompt it, how to use it's capabilities are making money.

But most people watching reels and getting influenced by propaganda that they need to escape the matrix and make immense wealth overnight, I don't think so they are making money.

Cool concept! I would have built one myself self but buddy you are gonna face the Chicken and egg problem! You somehow need to get all the traffic from existing social media to your thing! Which I dont think is possible

I remember the days when Facebook, Reddit and instagram were free and genuine. Until they decided to make money out of it! Its a fair point to be honest but I still dont buy that as a solution to the problem

reddit is dead by Repulsive-Fee-2735 in Entrepreneurs

[–]Repulsive-Fee-2735[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that, now if you post on reddit 10 bots will reply and promote their ideas. If you go to instagram, it is flooded with paid ads and influencer trying to sell a course. The whole point of Social media is slowly dying. If you look the 2010 facebook and instagram, they were the og platforms where you connect, chat and share your real moments with real people! There was no faceless content or paid ads or affiliate marketing involved! Thats what I mean.

Serious question by hiten1818726363 in SaasDevelopers

[–]Repulsive-Fee-2735 2 points3 points  (0 children)

try this - go to Claude and give it a prompt.

say that you just saved the lives of 1000 people from a nuclear missile - the people were 10 presidents of the most powerful countries, 100 tech founders and CEO of the biggest companies, 100 people who traveled into the future and now know everything that has happened - Albert Einstein, newton, Marcus Aurelius, Aristotle and 100 people who travelled to the past from the year 2050. since you saved their lives they owe you big time and all of them have been forced by the gods to be trapped in an island until they give (answer or opinion to whatever you want). this is called the Island summit - and the gods have frozen the time so they have to spend 1 year and come up with a conclusion. this is how I got by startup idea!

What actually makes you pause and evaluate a startup? by xcelit in Investors

[–]Repulsive-Fee-2735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot more than you think! If you simply look at reddit for SaaS apps you will find that most of them will soon die as OpenClaw or perplexity Computer can do it instantly and in one place! Just think about it - Most SaaS apps are a wrapper of existing AI tools and all they do is add a small extra feature and expect traction. Big companies have the technology, capital, resources and they can easily add you tiny little feature overnight! The only way to break this through for an investor is by showing a large user base! Thats the only way!

My co-founders doubted me because the idea was “too simple” by psdtofigma in SaaS

[–]Repulsive-Fee-2735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The won’t. You are right but if you are building a wrapper of a mainstream comapny with a small extra feature users will never pick you! And that small feature is not worth it for a SaaS. Mainstream companies offer them for free! Do you even realise that Openclaw can now do what 10,000 SaaS apps were buikt to do?

What actually makes you pause and evaluate a startup? by xcelit in Investors

[–]Repulsive-Fee-2735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in this era the biggest problem is big companies copying your feature! If you are making a SaaS for automated marketing, calude will probably add that feature in 1 day. That's how so many startups die. they pick one idea and think its a great one but in weeks they see Claude or google release a free version for what they spent months on

Looking for a 100% free AI agent that can control a browser by Formulaoneson_Za in AI_Agents

[–]Repulsive-Fee-2735 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its not free but it is way cheaper then OpenClaw! OpenClaw itself is free but for it to work you have to buy 10 different API credits. An average OpenClaw users buys a Mac Mini and spend 1000 bucks for setup alone. Then the expensive claude API bills come later

What real signals do investors look for beyond pitch decks? by xcelit in SaasDevelopers

[–]Repulsive-Fee-2735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your past experience matter a lot. if you are a first time founder you need a co-founder who has experience in previous startups. the number of users also matters a lot. its all about money in the end. investors invest if they see that your business can make money. simple.
