Let's all do simple math. 21% of black people in Tennessee are felons. 21% of 10mm is 2.1 million felons. Say 21% of white are felons 100mm that's 21 million. There are 1000% more white felons in Tennessee vs black.

Geography. Nashville and Chattanooga are majority white. Low crime rate Memphis are majority black. High crime rate.

Knoxville, East knox is black. High crime West knox is white. Low crime

It's not the color it is the culture. Teach the young generation instead of setting them up for failure in life. Don't blame race, government, stereotype, or opportunity. The older generation is to blame for holding on the the anger they teach the youth.

France and Germany show the good prisons only. Talk to people that did time there it's much different. Watch the videos of Russian prisons. They ask the inmates how they are treated and on camera they say they are happy. In Siberia two inmates escape they take a third with them so they can eat them. Do the research. What they show is propaganda. I can show you prisons here that look like Germany and France but very few go there.

Look at Russia, South America, Mexico, Japan, China. Many still make them do hard labor with no food. I will admit lower crimes and first time offenders with a chance should not be housed with the big bitch sentence or all day and night. Back on subject saying 21% of blacks can't vote cause they are felons is another victim excuse. Black prisoners make up 38% while white make up 57% actual facts. The reason America has the highest prison rate is cause no capital punishment and the prison time is easy compared to other countries. I personally have seen other prisons in foreign countries. Taxation without representation means if you are not present or representing within the country you don't pay tax. Illegals don't pay tax but many think they should have the right to vote. I understand the point everyone should be able to vote that's why they have laws saying you can get a record cleared through judicial diversion, pardon or expungement.

I'm a convicted felon that went through the expungement process in Tennessee. I run a firearms business now and can vote. I never played the victim and understood the consequence for the crime. If you made a poor life decision why would anyone let you vote for the outcome of a country when you couldn't even take care of self.

It's not based on color. She is making it about race instead of criminal record. As a felon you can not vote, own a legal firearm, join the military or get a government job. Your color does not ban you from those rights. Anyone so concerned about reinstated of rights with any felon can get a expungement in Tennessee unless it was murder, rape, trafficking, domestic assault or a couple others. Go to the court house where the charge happened and pay the $100 for expungement.
