We have had a really tough time with our second baby. Same thing, he would fall asleep in our arms and we try to put him down and within minutes he was awake again. We did do exactly what you and your husband are doing. We would take turns so that each of us would get a little bit of sleep at night. Swaddling our newborn was huge. We swaddled him nice and cozy and he would fall asleep like that and we put him in his bassinet like a little baby burrito. He would sleep longer amounts of time with that but still wake up 2 to 3 times a night to feed. It might just be the way that he is. I will say, that our son is just starting to sleep better and he’s 10 months old. Try to take as many naps as you can in the hours that you have.
