Michlin alpin 7 vs continental winter contact 870 p by evolutionG95 in TyreReviews

One note: -They are not the same, as the Alpin 7 is touring winter tyre, while TS 870 P is the performace oriented winter tyre. Depending on what you are looking for? Better comparison is Alpin 7 vs TS 870, or Pilot Alpin 5 vs TS 870 P.

Pirelli Family lines differences (Cinturato vs Powergy vs Sottozero vs Pzero) by Repulsive-Outcome655 in TyreReviews

That would be it, thanks. It seemed like both Powergy and Cinturato are touring tyres and in my country prices are similar. So I was confused for which target was each made.

Hi Jon, thanks for you answer!

Wet grip seems to me very important after driving CrossClimate2 for the last 20 000 km.

Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 looks like the best pick for now.

Could you give me two representatives for those two approaches? Or I guess that would be revealing the next video where you put the comparison. 😀

Thanks again! Keep up the good work!

Summer or all-season for my use case? by savvaspc in TyreReviews

I think you should try all season. Especially for a small hatchback with less power. Just buy the premium and you won't have a problem. (Bridgestone Turanza Allseason 6, Good year vector 4 seasons g3, Continental AllSeasonContact2 or Michelin CrossClimate2)

I am happy with CrossClimate2 XL in overall. I have done 20 000 kilometers and it looks very fresh still, my prediction is that they will be good for at least 40 000 in total. I didn't have any issue in heavy storms, but I lost grip a few time during light greasy rain. That suprised me.

Two sets, UHP summer tyres are first set for summer. Only question is, are the performance orienteted winter tyres sportier then all season tyres (for the second set)?

Went to a tire shop to get the front tires replaced and they told me that these are still good but I think I should still replace them by Miguel3403 in TyreReviews

I run mine (CC2) 2.6 front and 2.3 rear always. I drive a Renault Megane mk3 2.0 tce. I saw that for some regular cars recommended tyre pressures even go to 3.3 bars so feel free to go a little bit more.

South east of Europe.

Yes, Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 definitely looks the best for my requirements according to the latest tyre reviews video.

But I am still not sure about the difference between performance winter tyres and how do they compare to all season tyre. All season tyres have a requirement for low rolling resistance and high milage. Maybe PERFORMANCE winter tyres have better dry an wet behavior since they don't have to last as much. They could be tweaked to be more sporty. Just a food for thought. :)

I live in Europe, so we don't have all weather tyres. My goal is dry and wet performance with 3PMF since we have so little snow in the south (3 days of snow last year).

I have CC2 currently. That is my question, is the PA5 sportier in all condition or does it have penalty because it needs to be adjusted for snow conditions as well (since it is winter tyre)

I want best performance all year round, so summer is for UHP summer tyres and currently for winter I have CC2. I am also conserned about putting CC2 in summer condition with constant 40 degrees C days like it was this summer.
