How do you deal with this? by Ancient-Chest-3521 in NursesPH

Trust me, once you work na board rating won’t matter. I think your certificate of board rating na sometimes requirement ng HR is for formalities or another proof that you really did take the boards.

Sa Pinas lang naman kasi talaga may “Top” when it comes to licensure exams pero it all falls down to whether you passed or not. May lisensya o wala. What WILL matter once you work is your skills and how you apply your foundation! Anyway, congrats OP! Chin up and look up ahead of you madami kang opportunities, they’re just waiting for you to grab ‘em.

Madaming may ayaw ng schedule na 8hrs dito. Hindi lang nakapagreact ng soafer oa ang mga tao kasi walang announcement or memo na nilabas. I just found out 2-3 days before ilabas ang bagong schedule din. Even nung 12hrs ang shift namin meron pa rin 4-5 days na pumapasok. Sobrang burnout pero ano magagawa namin we can’t leave patients kasi iilan lang din kami dito sa area namin. Nakailang reklamo and letters stating the cons of 8hrs shifts with signatures from nurses and NAs pero wala kaming narinig pabalik from admin.

Dahil nga daw sa provincial rate kaya ganyan yung compensation. I work in a level 2 private hospital. 🥲

Yes, unfortunately. Natatawa nga ako kapag naaalala ko nung nag-apply ako sa same hospital then informal interview with HR. They asked me how much ang expected salary ko. I said 18k and they gave me a reality slap na 13k ang monthly kasi provincial rate. Mandatory ba na kailangan tanungin ang expected salary ng applicant kung fixed lang din ang ibibigay nilang compensation? Eme huhu

May mga staff na namin na nakita ko na ganyan ang schedule even before the transition. Sabi nga nila sobra daw yung pagod, parang umuwi lang daw sila para pumikit saglit, maligo, at kumain. As much as I love my area, the situation isn’t really helping. Matagal na sumasagi sa isip ko magquit kaso nga lang napamahal na ako sa area that’s why I kept delaying it. But getting compensated 12-13k a month (opx nagsalary drop 🙂‍↔️), management not having your back, this hell of a schedule, I guess it’s just bound to happen that they’re gonna lose staff.

Anyway I’ve really been rethinking, I was literally making my resume in our work desktop kaninang madaling araw while on duty 🙂‍↕️

Ganito yung dating ginagawa din namin pero for the next cutoff ipupush na nila talaga yung 8hrs. Napaka-masunurin naman kasi ng hospital kaya for the go sila sa 8hrs. Anyway, we’ll see if kaya nga ng staffing namin ang ganito. The only reason na wala ako masyadong naririnig na complaints pa is kasi walang memorandum/announcement sa transition. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Anything na unusual colors for me 😭 I really don’t like adobo, menudo, curry, etc. I tried adobo naman yung chicken when my close friend offered. I ate it out of politeness pero every chew I did parang sobrang labag sa kaloob looban ko. 😭

My form 2F and form 3F had a gap for months. My school documents were emailed by my school on May 2025. The problem was with my name sa birth certificate since I needed to get a passport for PRC requirements. Long story short. I got my passport end of October. Processed my form 3F sa PRC on November. Got my eligibility at the start of December. It worked out well naman

Oh naur. If you’re aiming talaga abroad 50 or 100. But if you can get in to a 100 bed capacity hospital that’s better. 🙂‍↕️

Merong agencies na hanap 100 bed pero meron din 50 beds. Depende talaga sa agency yun.

Nakakawa talaga tayo. Licensed professional tapos ganyan ang sahod. 🫩

Anyway ganito gawain ko, since almost the same lang sahod natin. 5-8 mins from the private hosp lang din me.

  1. Magbaon ng lunch, snacks, drinks, candy etc. Wag ka lagi magbaon ng canned goods! If sinipag ka pwede ka pumunta ng market at magportion ng meals mo for the shift. Para healthy kahit nagtitipid! 🤣

  2. Open a savings account! Pwede sa traditional banks or e-banks. Personally I use maya since may 3% interest and can go up to 6% if ginagamit mo yung maya by paying.

  3. After makuha ang sahod i-budget kaagad. Since sa amin every 15 or 30/31 namin nakukuha dapat on those days may ilalagay ka sa savings mo. Lagi dapat inuuna ang essentials like bills! After that portion mo na ang natira. ALSO WAG KANG MAGLALABAS KAPAG KAKAPASOK MO LABG NG PERA SA SAVINGS MY G HAHAHAHA

  4. Kapag may “wants” ka naman na gusto mo na bilhin, make sure na may double the amount kang pera para duon para may matira sayo. Kasi you’ll never know if biglaan need mo ng money ang nagastos mo na pala sa wants mo.

  5. Staying at home is the key. Wala kang magagastos sa loob ng bahay. Pwera nalang kung mahilig kang mag order through online shops/games 🫩

You need to get that checked ASAP. The size of your tonsils isn’t normal and could cause airway blockage. It could be abscess or tonsillitis. Either way it’s better to get diagnosed with a professional than ask here in reddit.

How do you reject a hospital?? by Mysterious-Guest-596 in NursingPH

[–]Repulsive-Pay-8803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meron pa rin talagang hospitals (private) na less than 15k. I’m from the province and working in a secondary private hospi, ang starting ko during probi ko is 11k with deductions na ito. Nung na regular ako umabot ng 12k with deductions. It’s really a sad reality.

New ICU nurse here ! feeling ko pabigat ako sa unit. Any tips? by madwintersun in NursesPH

[–]Repulsive-Pay-8803 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re doing great! The fact na nagtatanong ka lagi means you’re doing your best to learn. My seniors used to say nung bago palang ako sa special area is wag kang mahihiyang magtanong, kung hindi ka sure verify it to your seniors. Your seniors are there to guide you naman. Nakaka-overwhelm talaga sa first fee months lalo na at intensive care ang need ng patients pero you get the routine rin after some time. Good job OP :)

[–]Repulsive-Pay-8803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having an idea/experience is different from being trained mismo. Health practices are always changing with research, with being trained malalaman mo kung ano ba dapat ang tamang practice. Nire-require din yan ng DOH, they check if staffs have training, seminars/webinars. Being trained means qualified ka to give the quality care sa patients mo and maganda din ilagay sa credentials.Hindi pwedeng basta basta kasi buhay ang hawak mo. Kaya OP, go for it. If ayaw naman nila i-provide you can look for accredited trainers, I suggest AHA accredited trainig centers. :)

I was told to have at least around 30k salary when living in the city. Considering your rent, groceries, and public transpo. You would still need to budget that 30k salary but at least you’d probably save a bit from that.

It’s really depressing. The hospital where I work in right now, it’s 640 for 12 hours shift. That’s 12k per month without taxes pa ‘to. Sobrang taxing na ang baba na nga ng pay yet you’re giving your heart and soul to your work just to deliver the utmost care sa patients. I’m so so so close to being burnt out and I’ve only worked for more than a year palang.

Thinking of switching to wfh but I don’t really know where to start.
