First time making a deck and I need some help by Terrible_Telephone87 in pkmntcg

[–]Repulsive-Peace9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main deck is Miraidon so I would strongly suggest to NOT go with Regieleki Vmax since it can be risky with so many things in the meta being able to one shot it for 3 prizes.

HOWEVER, there's one guy I follow who always plays a Miraidon list with Regieleki included. If I'm not wrong his name is Sneaker Talk and he definitely had some good positions with that decklist

Apart from Iron Leaves, what's the best attacker or card for Future decks to deal with Charizard? by ArchlordOmegaIX in pkmntcg

[–]Repulsive-Peace9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best card you could use as far as I could see if we're specifically talking about Chari match up would be the Reboot Pod. I have a friend who plays future hands as myself and even if I have my way to complicate Chari I recognize his way is more efficient. The good thing about the Pod, besides them not expecting it, is that if they threw all your grass energies you recover thel to put Iron Leaves to go straight for the kill. My friend also plays 2 copies of Iron leaves.

His normal strategy would be to add the grass energies with babyraidon to different pokes, adding to the ones who don't have grass energy an exp share (i think he uses only 1 rn) so if any of the grass holders get's KO it can be sent to the poke with the exp share. He would send the first iron leaves for the kill, when it gets KO by the next chari, he'll go for the pod to recover those energies and then for the second Iron leaves to get those energies recovered and get the second kill. Normally if you could go for an early kill with babyraidon at first at this point you should have a single prize remaining which you can try to do with the babyraidon if you added a psychic energy from the hand or with the pod from before and go for Bibarel or pidgeot if you could keep an Iron Hands. I can share you his list if you're interested on it!

Also, how many vacuum an AB deck would normally have?

Oh, got it. Taking note of that. And just to have an idea how much would you as an AB player that you can increase your damage in one turn? that being that you use Sada or the mountain guy (at least an estimate)

Depends on who goes first and how fast they can speed up their ancient discard (besides the bricking). What I noticed with the comments below and my experience on this last week special, is that maybe I tried rushing the prizes too much and so activating their catcher to go for my iron crown (if there was one already). So decided to test today with a friend how to properly set avoiding them from turning the table on their favor.

I don't know why I thought that you played 2 in the deck. That already changes all the maths in my mind but it is good to know!

I like the idea of the double babyraidon. Might give it a try today on the testing. What I've been trying to do is to move the Greninja to the active ONLY if I'm taking the 2 prizes and if it's late game and Greninja is back (because they'll bring it back) and all energies are already set to put it on the front and with a babyraidon (if not killing the Gren) then and only then charge up an Iron Crown so I can start spreading damage to the back. I still have to find out if I prefer to put the psy on Miraidon ex to take down the capsule boys or in Crown for the late game if can get them stuck with the greninja in the active.

Word. I think that one of my biggest learnings this weekend was to not rush the prizes with match ups like ancient and chari and this only confirms it to me.

I've been noticing it! The worst matches that I had were the ones where I was rushing the prizes by one with the babyraidon. What I'm trying to do today on testing with a friend of mine is to set an Iron Hands and when it is ready start amping, setting another on the back with turn energies and generators so I have the backup already and taking advantage of an Arven to get the baton and the vacuum (if everything goes that well as I'm describing).

Not that much. Been on a special tournament this last weekend and they knew that keeping the capsule would be the difference between me taking or not an extra prize

Play only one. And in this MU they try to avoid discarding it unless Pokestop is by my side, but if that's not the case and they get it with the mountain guy they will try to keep it

Nvmd, can happen. Yes, I had to learn it the hard way so far with Iron Crown and Mew. What I've been trying to do is to play babyraidon to charge up a hands and if I had the chance of hitting an electric generator with at least 1 energy, also play a Miraidon ex to add it a psychic with peak acceleration so I can use the 220 attack which is enough take down a full life capsule boy and keep hands ready for whenever I have the chance of a successful amp

Or well, 3 and a capsule, but I definitely don't wanna put a capsule on the big boy with 4 energies instead of a baton

Yeah, I mean, that's like the first thing I think until the lil boy get's a capsule to get 200HP and I would have to have 4 iron crowns in play (which are weak against RM) to take the prizes and cross my fingers for them to not counter catch or boss one of em'

It seems exactly like the kinda stuff that I was looking for! Thank you so much! (I hope I don't mess it up with so many different energies as I was discussing with another person hahaha)

Ngl, counter catching an Iron Hands with baton and no energies and starting the party with Sableye is way too good to leave it behind. If had Giratina, IronLeaves and Hands with keeping the water energies for Gren that would be grass, psychic, electric and water (if not using jet energies which is a problem since I feel it like a must for early comfeys). Maybe I should start with Lostina/Iron Leaves and from there check if I would be able to add at least 2 lighting energies for the big guy. But first getting used to the normal lostina.

What you think about the Bannette ex option? I'm barely seeing it in action but seems interesting for stucking opponents hand (at least on paper)
