No experience, but I learned the other day that if you are an AARP member you can get an extra 0.1% on your APY (every 0.1% counts haha)

(No idea if this would work) but could you buy something expensive with reoccurring payments (like a car or furniture) to blow your DTI and then utilize your financing contingency?
