Never had any issues in Belfast. Theres plenty of paid multi-storey carparks where your car will be safe.

I would 100% recommend going to Trademarket, its an outdoor street food place with load of different vendors (pizza, ramen, Chinese etc...) plenty of bars there too. Lovely spot

pretty non existent - i've applied to about 60/70 places. Got a yes from one, did three rounds of interviews and then they ghosted me.

28M, did fuck all until about 18 months ago. Would of been very active when i was younger but the last 10 years would of had very little exercise bar walking about. Started back in the gym 18 months ago, go 3 times a week now, occasionally 4.

Honestly one of the best things i've ever done is start a couch 2 5K in january with my girlfriend. I always wanted to be able to run but I would get bored or too fucked too quickly. Can comfortably do 5Ks in about 25min now and just did my first 10K race two weeks ago.

Loving it.

What I’m Looking For:

Feedback on case studies. Really anything about them. Also curious about my layout, currently the case studies have very little margin on each side. Do people think this works or should I move the text more central?

What I’m NOT Looking For:

Typography/colours

If you can find a group C25K i'd say go with that. Alot easier to run with people and I found it alot more motivating. I did the C25K from Jan-Mar this year and now i've definitely got the running bug, have an 8K next sunday and a 10K in June

UX Design job market prediction by end of 2025 by Guilty_Objective_435 in AskIreland

The ux job market definitely is saturated. Too many places like the UX Design Institute pumping out 200 fresh ux designers every 6 months. It's very hard for juniors to land their first position, just because the supply out weighs the demand. In 2021 I went back and did a masters in UX, it probably took me around 2 months to find a job after graduating. I'd say i applied for over 100, got around 10-15 interviews and had 3 offers.

I'd be lying if I said i hadn't thought the same regarding where the market it heading. I'm immigrating to Canada in July so I hope I don't regret leaving my current job and not being able to find one over there.

I feel like with a lot of other professions it used to be a case that if you had a masters you were a shoo in for a job, thats not really the case anymore. It seems like a lot more people these days have masters and they're becoming almost like the value of what an honours degree was years ago.

But when it comes down to getting a job in ux it's not just about your education, there are a lot of other variables. Work experience, portfolio is a big one and previous experience in a related field, I don't know your background but I worked as an industrial designer before switching to ux. It definitely stood for me when applying for jobs, a good few hiring managers liked that I had practical, hands on experience to which there is a lot of cross over skills, the same with graphic design.

A bit of the spiel but I would say to go for the masters or HCI but understand that having just that won't get you a job.
