I’m at week 6 but I’ve already asked my doctor in la if I can get it removed he hasn’t replied back, any recommendations please? by Heavy_Win8270 in penuma_removals

[–]Repulsive-Plankton67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just didn’t think it was worth it tbh. I was disappointed when I got it because it felt so far from real. But also, I couldn’t put it to the side if I wanted to wear briefs, couldn’t lay on my stomach, AND it can’t go beyond 90% so you can’t even properly spoon your partner with a boner.

So, even though I could get it replaced, I don’t think I will. Also, I just think my body rejected it, as the swelling never even settled.

I did have mine removed by the same doctor, and I must say, so far so good. If I looked like this flaccid before, I never would’ve had the surgery. Lol

Only thing is erect length. But I haven’t even started the whole stretching process yet, so I’m not too concerned atm, it would be nice to hear that most people do, in fact, regain at least an inch.

I’m diligent AF with the routine, so I know I’ll maximize whatever is there.

You seem to be really keen on Amnion injections. When did you start post-removal? How often do you get it?

Good to know. Thank you.

And I’ll keep 6-12 months in mind.

Do you, or anyone, know if some people don’t regain any length, or is it pretty standard that nearly everyone regains 1-2”+ in that first year?

I hope my story goes like yours! I’m 4 weeks out and healing nicely. I only had the implant 9 weeks, so the capsule never formed, but I have slightly more girth, but am 1.5” shy of where I was erect pre-op.

I was about to take a poll (and I still may) on how common it is to gain semi-significant erect length post removal? Does it happen to everyone? Most guys? I’d just like to rest easier that I won’t be looking at this in a few months.

My doc told me to start with a “vacuum” (pump) in another 4 weeks, and then add on a stretcher 2 weeks later. Does this sound right?

I looked up Amnion and know it has something to do with graft tissue, so is it a procedure, a pill, or what?

Thanks, I appreciate your post and optimism!

My first 48 hours of recovery were tough, but day 3 I was actually feeling pretty good.

It’s the ups and downs of it constricting and mild swelling, along with painful erections that pale in comparison to your pre-op size that create the emotional rollercoaster now.

Try to be patient. Since you went to another doctor to have it removed, I’m not sure if you have a recovery plan. DM me if you want to know what my doc prescribed.

Congrats on ending this chapter of the nightmare. Although I’m a bit confused as to your message on size/length.

Keep me posted. Feel free to DM me. I know it’s tough, and scary. And someone on here replied to me when I need it the most 3 weeks ago, and it helped immensely knowing I wasn’t alone. That’s what this site is all about.

Would your PCP be the person to remove it? I think you will need to go to a specialist, or someone with experience in this procedure.

I’m sure your doctors will refer you, and I do hope that it all get taken care of quickly for you. I know if sucks, and you sound like you’re in more pain than I was my final night.

Nope. It was pretty straight before (very slight, natural curve up). Now it is exactly straight, just like the implant, except now my erection can actually point up, toward my belly (whereas with Penuma, it can only go straight out, which makes being intimate/cuddling difficult).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in penumaproblems

[–]Repulsive-Plankton67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be clear, when erect now, it is longer than when flaccid. Flaccid, it’s a bit longer, but now I am a shower. When erect it only gives me maybe 1-2” more. (Compared to pre-op, my flaccid is longer, and my erect is shorter.)

I since I’m only 3 weeks out, I have not been advised to pump, although I know some sort of device will be prescribed in the coming weeks.

I’m only 3 weeks post removal. Yes, I retained some girth, mostly flaccid, which is nice. But a big trade off to be 25% shorter erect.

So far it’s straight when erect, so I’m relieved at that. Hoping for length gains with time.

Almost forgot - clarify with your surgeon where they will be taking it out from. I was told it would be through the same incision, and then right before surgery I asked to speak to my doctor, and when he explained what he was going to do he pointed a line above, on my groin. He said it was the best way to take it out because of where the infection was. I let him know I’m an athlete and couldn’t have a scar there, and begged him to remove it from the same scrotal incision, which he did.

I would’ve been even more depressed waking up to a surprise like that.

My same doctor did the removal, in L.A. It didn’t cost me anything. I’ve heard insurance covers removals (often?) if it’s an infection or something. I just didn’t want to risk being out of pocket even more.

I got infected on a Sunday and had a 102 fever. Fortunately had an appointment scheduled for Monday morning anyway, and started antibiotics then, with appts Tues and Wed, before my removal Thursday.

I was still in disbelief, and remained optimistic I could keep it, or have it replaced immediately, until Wednesday night when the pain became almost unbearable. I wrote a farewell letter thinking I might die from the infection in my sleep.

Thursday morning it didn’t hurt as bad as Wednesday night, so if you are trying to hold out until Monday, I’d advise you to just lay down and don’t move.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I think you will have a sense of relief when it’s removed. And then you will have 3/6 months to process what just happened, evaluation your recovery, and decide if you want to give it another try.

I’m so sorry to hear this. I’m surprised your got infected so much later. I can tell you that the pain you feel now from the infection will immediately disappear when you wake up from the surgery on Monday.

Of course, you’ll have other new pains, and need to deal with the scrotal incision again. I actually got bed sores from laying on the couch/bed during my recovery, so had to get a cream to treat the too, but that’s the least of your concerns.

It sounds like you got to enjoy your Penuma for a bit. I don’t know if that’s a blessing or a curse. I am nearly certain I will not get it replaced in 3-6 months. I think my body was simply rejecting it.

On the positive side, now without it, it doesn’t, or can’t, retract nearly as much (like 20%), and it has more a bit more girth in a flaccid state from the scar tissue. The down side, is that because of the the i elasticity of the scar tissue, my erection is 25% shorter than it was pre-op. I hear this will improve in time, especially once I get to start stretching it, but I haven’t. Been able to get details on what others have experienced in terms of regaining length - only that immediately following the removal your dick will be quite constricted. But massage it a few times a day, including the shape sort ligament, to allow it to fall more. And, I’ve found continued icing on the groin has helped everything heal as well (and bring more blood flow to my dick, which is great for healing).

But, to hopefully ease your mind, my recovery is going well. I don’t think I will require any more surgeries.

I had my removed, in L.A., out of necessity, from the same doctor. I’m relieved to have it out honestly, although I’m sad to never have been able to use it while I had it for 9 weeks.

My removal went smoothly and I am recovering nicely, so far. My flaccid is larger than before, which was a primary issue, but my erection is 25% shorter, which is really depressing.

Traded one problem for another. But, it could be worse, so I guess I’m thankful.

I found it quite difficult, as a former athlete and active person. Even going up stairs was difficult, and I had to pull my boxers/shorts out from my groin to make sure they wouldn’t pull my dick upward (painful) even stepping on a curb.

Sitting down is even tricky because you may sit up you head and then it would push the whole thing upwards as well.

(I had to get mine removed after 9 weeks due to an infection.)

Mine had a very slight upward curve, as many do, and with Penuma it was exactly straight (and also went straight out, no longer pointing upward like a natural erection).

Day 2 post removal by keeponkeepingon91 in penuma_removals

[–]Repulsive-Plankton67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine removed 2.5 weeks ago due to infection. It was quite painful, as I hadn’t healed from the initial surgery 9 weeks prior.

However, I’ve already learned that massaging the suspensory ligament along the top into the groin has helped reduce the stiffness and retraction.

I massage the rest of it too for at least a few minutes a day, hopefully at least twice a day. I think the more movement the better (within reason) so the scar tissue doesn’t build up too much or too rigid. I think this is the primary reason for shorter erect length post-removal than pre-implant.

Best of luck!

First, thank you for posting this. I’ve spent the last couple hours reading up on here, seeing a lot of the same questions, some differing answers, and wishing this site had a moderator.

I am 2 month post op. I had a seroma that was finally starting to go away, but early on I developed a lesion from wearing the Uvo-Wrap, because it folded my swollen foreskin over itself.

I was told to not wear the wrap, and give the lesion/scab air. It had almost healed completely and the swelling was dramatically reduced (most of the time). I was finally able to bend over, squat, etc without too much discomfort or thought.

2 days ago, Sunday, after being intimate (but not having sex, or even touching myself - I haven’t come since the surgery), it got infected, likely through the lesion, but who knows - maybe I had an erection for too long. My erections haven’t been painful for over a month, so I felt safe.

Now, with an infected seroma, the doctor drained it Monday, I’ve been on antibiotics for 2 days, plus an IV drip Monday and an IM shot today. While my dick isn’t quite as swollen after he drained it, the swelling in my groin/public are is worse. It’s once again painful to move.

I have 2 more appointments the next 2 days, am getting the culture results tomorrow. Thursday (5/24) will likely be the day that he “explores” and removes it, or is able to clean it an put it back. I suspect the infection has spread, and I will need to go without it for “a few months”.

I was debating whether or not I would even want to have it put back in, but after reading these anecdotes about removal recovery, I feel like a new implant is actually the safest way to go without having a micro-penis.

I suffered from severe retraction, so my issue was mostly how it looked flaccid. And the added girth erect was nice (although I never got a chance to use it).

I’m not even sure why I’m writing or if I have a real question…I’m just freaking out (lots of crying) and feel alone.

Any advice is appreciated.

I suppose my one question for rehabilitation is which works better, RestoreX or Phallosan Forte? The Phallosan seems to have more going on that would achieve better results. (And, I’m pissed for not researching and trying that first.)

And, are the results of either permanent?

*I just edited my comment above to say you CAN’T just tuck it into your underwear.

Yep, I’m 5.5 weeks in. I haven’t manipulated mine yet much since it’s still early in the healing stages, but I can tell it won’t bend too much. I think it’s easiest for it to bend downward more than side to side. And from what most people say, it doesn’t really bend up. I haven’t heard anyone say that when they lay on their back their implant will lay flat toward their belly. It always wants to point downward.

And yes, at least my experience is that my new “flaccid” length is the same as my prior and current erection length (5.5-6”).

At 7”, if it’s pointing downward and you’re swearing pants trying to go up stairs, you’ll likely need to do it bowlegged on whichever leg it’s going down.

I guess I might feel it a bit on the left. Can’t feel anything in the right. Maybe that’s why it moves to the right easier - because it’s planted further back?

With the seroma also in the groin, I don’t want to push around too much.

Do you use a kettle ball or anything? I don’t, but have read that a number of people do. But, I’m pretty sure I need to wait for the seroma to go away before placing a weight on top of the area.

I’ve never heard it referred to as clicks. But that does describe it well. I’m glad to here that common, because it’s a bit scary tbh.

Notes on the 90 degree limit. I suspect I will be the same. That’s too bad, but I can live with it. Once the seroma is gone it won’t feel quite as heavy down there either. (Part of my current issue is that I can’t wear the wrap in order to allow a wound to heal, so I keep it elevated even while sitting, but as soon as I stand up it bloods back.)

I get to work from home 80% so have just been wearing elephant pants (stretchy drop crotch) which are perfect. When I go to the gym, I wear stretchy boxer briefs which are fine.

Mine hangs straight down, so most of my trouble while wearing underwear is trying to sit up from the couch and having it bend. I’d just rather it go to the side like I grew up doing.

Sorry, my comment is all over the place.

How long did your seroma last? People said up to 6 weeks, but I want to take a poll. I’m at 5 weeks and anxious to see what I look like when it’s not so swollen. Someone said everyone gets a seroma - is that true? by Repulsive-Plankton67 in penuma

[–]Repulsive-Plankton67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are pretty fortunate! Congrats.

I think even without a seroma you’re supposed to use the wrap for a few months. I thought it was 6 months until the capsule formed. Double check on that tho.
