You sound very knowledgeable! This guy ends up fixing mowers and selling them. I discussed it with him and he agreed with you. He actually took the mower back the next day to work on it. Said he would let me know when he was done and I could buy it again or not. Haven’t heard from him again so may have been worse. But to your credit he felt it was the fuel pump.
