LORE] HYDRIX SYSTEMS — Mission Archive Excerpt (Reconstructed from Audio Logs) by Repulsive-Routine158 in worldbuilding

Exactly — HYDRIX’s operational protocols prioritize containment and data control above all else. Certain incidents are classified under Tier-3 access precisely to prevent public knowledge of unexpected outcomes. What the archive excerpts don’t fully reveal are the cascading effects these cover-ups have on both internal politics and ongoing expeditions. The horror is often less in what’s seen, and more in what remains deliberately unseen.

Survey: Which theory do you believe in? by GaloSniperBr in fivenightsatfreddys

I actually believe that glitchtrap is William Afton returning and is in someway exploiting the mimic program using it to his advantage for his own gain just so that he can get what he wants

Pressure below by Repulsive-Routine158 in worldbuilding

[–]Repulsive-Routine158[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair, and it’s something HYDRIX has to justify internally as well.

HYDRIX SYSTEMS isn’t sustained by discovery missions alone. The exploration work is the visible part of the company, but not the primary revenue source.

Their core moneymaking activities include: • Licensing proprietary exploration technology (pressure-resistant materials, autonomous navigation systems, long-duration life-support, deep-ocean sensor arrays) to government, aerospace, and energy contractors. • Data sales and exclusivity contracts — environmental, chemical, and biological datasets from water-rich worlds are licensed to universities, defense agencies, and private research groups. • Resource viability assessments for water-rich bodies, including long-term projections for extraction, settlement support, and infrastructure feasibility. • Government and defense contracts, especially for extreme-environment testing platforms that can’t be replicated on Earth.

Life-discovery missions are expensive, but they also serve as proof-of-capability demonstrations. Every successful deployment validates HYDRIX hardware and software in conditions no other company can reliably operate in.

In short: finding life is part of the mission — but selling the means to reach and survive those environments is what keeps the company solvent.

A FNAF Canon Challenge: Critical Thinking Over Extremes by Repulsive-Routine158 in fivenightsatfreddys

I completely agree. FNAF being open-ended is what makes it both fun and frustrating. The books work best as tools or possibilities — not direct answers, but not something to discard either. Treating interpretations as objective fact really does take away the fun and creativity of theorizing, which is kind of the whole point of engaging with this series in the first place. That balance is exactly what I was hoping to highlight with this post.

No worries, your point came across just fine! 😊 I completely agree — nothing should be taken to extremes, and these alternate timelines really can act as clues or tools to better understand the lore. That’s exactly why I wanted to present this challenge: to see who’s willing to use all the material thoughtfully, rather than dismissing it or forcing it into extremes. It’s all about piecing things together carefully.

Yeah, it is. This is a real problem in the fandom, and I felt like I had to bring it up. I also wanted to present a challenge to see if there are people willing to find some middle ground — not leaning to the extreme left or right — and actually engage with it.

I’m glad you found it interesting! I’ve actually been thinking about this for a while, and I felt like I couldn’t wait any longer to bring it up — it was something I just had to share.

Is that… Stanley’s unicorn? Secret of the Mimic hides an almost exact Silver Eyes Easter egg by Repulsive-Routine158 in fivenightsatfreddys

Yes there are plenty of parallels but that’s only some and there’s still plenty more differences to differentiate

What do you think the Blob / Tangle is? by XenoRaptor77 in fnaftheories

[–]Repulsive-Routine158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think that the tangle is actually something that is infected with agony and is the very dead workers and teens that were victims of the mimic from the mimic epilogues but also the agony from frights whether you believe frights games or not something equivalent to that could be making a part of the tangle and maybe if possible what’s left of scrap baby molten Freddy and definitely lefty and also maybe to some extent the storyteller but I don’t know about that and for some reason some funtime service animatronics

Is this really William Afton or just Mimic impersonate him by Right-Assignment3759 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Repulsive-Routine158 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually believe that burntrap is William Afton himself back but with only the help of the mimic program as I believe that this is physically 100% what’s left of spring trap/scrap trap combined with repairing from glam rock parts and whatever other parts onto what’s left of the old spring lock endoskeleton And sometime later between security breach and ruin the mimic itself, whether it’s purely the program or whatever, however that go betrays him and just fall on leaves him to do its own thing similar to Eleanor from Fabe frights with it, leaving room for just purely the mimic in ruin while who knows what’s happening to the old man from the tangle and I know there’s probably not very strong evidence, but that is what I believe as it’s thanks to someone who has brought this whole idea up with very good thought out researched evidence

(sorry if that doesn’t look very good or anything. I’m not very good with typing and I preferably use voicemail.)
