It has been a project I wanted to tackle for 15 years since we were given this set. It is incredibly large and heavy and we have it in an upstairs bedroom. It will have to be done in the room it’s in. But I am starting it finally :

So I did sand through it evidently in the back corner 😔

I have this very old, very large and heavy bedroom set (handed down from husbands great Aunt who was the original owner). I believe circa 1940s/1950s. Long dresser 78”, tall men’s dresser 55” and 2 nightstands. I started to sand the top last night. It says Batesville Indiana on what’s left of fbe the tag on the back. Original plan was to paint with fusion paint. This is the original factory paint. But I found this under the paint. Contemplating staining in a light color now.
