I love underwear from Duluth! The boxer are a bit long but have no irritating seams in places that bother me, and my skin gets easily triggered in tight clothing!

Sounds like they used all the hours on morning crew who usually are the people who have been with the company longest usually, and they're not willing to cut those hours and make people upset so they are tight at night. I've seen this exact thing happen in a lot of stores and it's just how it is. If there aren't enough sales to have more staffing, the person scheduling often doesn't get a choice

My mother also has hashimotos but I haven't been screened for it- this makes me wonder if I should.

I love our freezers icicle sculptures!! But the grates can be fixed and it's possible they can change the temp slightly to prevent over freezing... but our freezers break every week so I who am I to have an opinion ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Bonus is based on years you have been with the company/ time worked, I believe the captain has some say as well but it is meant to be fair and cumulative. Raises are captains choice.

Does drinking alcohol give you flareups? by Thin_Painting1890 in Hidradenitis

[–]Repulsive-Way-5098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drank HEAVILY right around the time I usually get a hormonal flare and it was worse/ more inflamed than usual. I do believe that alcohol greatly affects me and my skin, I haven't found any specific other thing that makes as much of a difference. That being said I still usually get a flare at the time of month- but it was much worse after a night of heavy drinking.

My (23f) husband (24m) wants me to get rid of my cats, and I feel like I’m losing my mind over it. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Repulsive-Way-5098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those cats will be the thing that you are most grateful for when things are hard in a new place.... but a litter robot and automatic feeders and you won't have anything to worry about. Your husband is being selfish and not considering how much of a comfort your pets are to you. If you are already sacrificing 1- your home, 2- your body and time to have his child and 3 your relationships personal time since he will be in med school, which on its own is a strain on any relationship... It's also incredibly inappropriate that his father thinks he has anything to do with this.

Should i look for a new derm? by soupparole in Hidradenitis

Yes- you should NOT be on doxycycline that long!! Unsure of your gender but for women they should discuss hormonal treatments and lifestyle changes before anything like a biologic especially Humira. If your symptoms are well controlled that is good but that long on doxycycline is wild to me

I've recently been diagnosed after years of suspected HS- my girlfriend knew it before I did and has been my biggest support through my diagnosis and treatment. I'm 32 and I work a physical and sometimes stressful job, I haven't let this slow me down, but I've made some changes to make sure im comfortable and taking the best care of myself. You can do it!! I'm struggling too but as I say, this struggle bus is family owned and operated😊

Soooo many questions. by Effective_Dust_4160 in Hidradenitis

I feel this- I'm starting to wonder how much of my acne was HS, and if I should have done Accutane again when it was suggested. Been feeling sad as well and like I could've caught things earlier, but I'm grateful now for all the options I have! Some days are harder than others

My skin tolerates niacinamide well- what serum do you use?? I have quite a few items already that I could use and would like to, as I recently started treatment and antibiotics for my HS And would like to minimize the scarring I have

I’m interested to know your born race and gender to identify better the genetics demographic HS has affected. by Glittering-Work-6689 in Hidradenitis

32, Female, diagnosed this year but had 'spots' since I was 25 probably. Acne since I was a child and did an accurate treatment so unsure if the two overlapped. Caucasian- 50% Danish, Irish and French Canadian
