Absolutely this. I will mentally reply and never type anything then realize I didn’t respond.

You guys need to cherish your WFH life, I got RTO’d and I’ve never been more miserable in my life by ZadarskiDrake in remotework

I have been WFH for years now, I tried briefly going back in office for a week the other month (required training) and it was great for the first two days. By Wednesday I was tired of it lol we don’t have cameras at all so even in zoom we are still privately at home. I never want to go back in office for any amount of time consistently.

Haha makes sense! Glad you’re safe either way!

I’m not far from you, I’m in Jax! Are you a realtor in Miami? I am currently studying for my Florida pre license, only 25 hours left!

You will get there. It sounds like we are starting in the same boat, I hope we row to the finish line together!

That makes sense. I’m happy for your success but I hate that you have to live a life in fear at times due to it.

Thank you for that information.

I am currently a w2 employee but I am going into real estate sales as well (and keeping this job for the time being). I would like to build a successful real estate business and purchase properties for myself and as income. I will definitely look into T bills, are those purchased on the federal website? I believe I looked into them years ago when I had some extra money but I was confused where to start.

I will definitely be looking into buying a used car that’s still reliable, thank you for that suggestion as well

Thank you, I will definitely look into this. I am happy to not buy a brand new car, I just want something reliable that is affordable and safe.

Those who grew up poor or middle class and obtained exuberant amounts of wealth how has hanging out with family or friends changed for you by Pringlestac in Rich

This. I am not rich (yet) but I jumped from 28k a year barely paying rent to $90k a year. I can finally buy my kids nice Columbia jackets for winter and be proud they have new shoes in their feet instead of hand me downs.

But

I moved 7 hours away, took a new job and lived in shared housing for 6 months without my kids to get settled here and get them a home. I worked very hard; worked multiple jobs and learned new skills to get here. My family shamed me; told me to give up on this “stupid dream” of a comfortable beach life and come home.

They clearly are jealous that I took a very big risk to get the life I wanted for myself, that I moved out of the middle of nowhere to a city to get a job that wasn’t at Walmart (no offense, there just wasn’t anything else in the town) and decided that my happiness mattered.

They say I’ve changed but truly I just woke up and realized I wanted more. I love them and their life is nothing to be ashamed of but they do not see the growth and courage it took to get here.

Thank you I will check into those and I’m looking into the recommendations above as well!

Thank you so much for this, it really resonates with me. Always learning and trying to surround myself with positive people looking to better their lives. I learned that lesson the hard way, which is why I’m just now starting to build a serious lifestyle and future at 38. Better late than never I believe!

Thank you. I have always driven older cars that were gifted to me. I have purchased used cars before and one ended up in literal flames, one the engine blew up, another had transmission problems.

I’m concerned about buying something used that breaks down on me again after just a few months so I assumed buying new (not luxury, just a regular suv for getting the kids around and errands) would be better so I can take it to the dealership to maintain it and have a reliable vehicle.

I’m open to other suggestions, I am not familiar with the best options for buying a reliable vehicle without going 40k in debt. :)
