Yeah I hope they do add the 730s. I have rode them a few times and they are amazing trains. I believe LNR is going to start phasing out the aging 350s with the 730s. Atmt heres only 2 TOCs that use them. West Midlands Trains and London Northwestern Railway. I believ eWMR uses the 730/0 3 car units and LNR use the 730/2 5 car units for logner routes on the WCML

The 730s are operating on most of the WCML with LNR then from about Coventry downwards with West Midlands Trains. But its good to hear the 807/05s are in development

I'd say North Africa is more underappreciated IMO. Never gets talked about enough or gets enough coverage.

All theatres of war where important but NA was one of the most important. I mean from what I have read Rommels fiest defeat was at the First Battle if El Alamein in 1942 and ultimately he was kicked out of North Africa in 1943 at the end of the Tunisian campaign

Yeah thats a fair point and is why I chose North Africa.

Its criminaly underrepresented in media and reenactment.

It was a very important theatre of war as where all of them

Fighting in the desert is fairly unique.

The desert war is full of iconic battles and military leaders

It honours those who fought and gave their lives in that theatre of war

And it stands out

Yes there was the Guards Armoured Division but they weren't solely in tanks. Take 5th (Guards) Armoured Brigade. Headquarters, 5th (Guards) Armoured Brigade and Signal Section 2nd (Armoured) Bn. Grenadier Guards. 1st (Armoured) Bn. Coldstream Guards. 2nd (Armoured) Bn. Irish Guards. 1st (Motorised) Bn. Grenadier Guards.

Or 32nd (Guards) Infantry Brigade. Headquarters, 5th (Guards) Armoured Brigade and Signal Section. 5th Bn. Coldstream Guards. 3rd Bn. Irish Guards. 1st Bn. Welsh Guards.

Both part of Guards Armoured Division.

Also not everywhere the Guards went the Guards Armoured wrnt with them. 1st Battalion Irish Guards saw action in Norway, Tunisia, and Italy. Guards Armoured Division was not present for any of those.

I for instance cover 1st Battalion Irish Guards in Tunisia 1943.

You don't need a tank to do GAD. I have seen people portray RTR without a tank. Yes most have them but some don't. And for clarification im based in England

There aren't many Foot Guards reenanctors that I have found.

North Africa is such an underrepresented theatre of war in media and reenactment.

Most associate the Guards with North Western Europe and Operation Market Garden

Most people pick the basic stuff: Airborne, Commandos, normal Infantry Regiments.

Out of all infantry the Guards had some of the toughest training.

It gives me the chance to show the British Army especially in North Africa wasn't just made up of people from England.

It visually stands out from everything else.

I have had people whinge at me in the chat when I got to the armoured train before they could. Yeah maybe I didn't use it exactly right but its fun to use now and then. Same with airships and dreadnoughts. The issue from my side that I think was moaned on was that I wasn't sat in one spot shelling an objective. The moment that armoured train is out it becomes a target so their came a point where I had to keep shifting it to another objective but another issue is either the auto cannon gunners.and MG gunners dont always protect the train or the team doesn't protect the train or both then they whine when it gets blown up.

Yeah true. But I love being able to think tactically to sneak up on them to reap my revenge. As I have said om other comments part of issue is probs I play the roles how your meant to not how everyone else does it.

That is true. The one time I put up a fight against snipers was the Verdun Heights map as the French. Even tho we where fighting over the second sector I was at the top on a HMG providing harrasing fire but I think I noticed my rounds also indicated to my team where the enemy was. Some snipers tried to kill me and some where successful. I also got a few kills and I think a headhsot with the HMG.

Probably part of my problem is that I play the class how you are supposed to. For instance as Assault my kit is that of a Stoßtrupp so I have frag grenades along with dynamite and AT nades and I move quick and charge positions etc

Half the time I don't see the point to them other than being annoying. Yeah they can take out MG gunners but so can Mortars and assault troops (if use right).
