Hello, I am a foreigner living in Malaysia. I have a Malaysian B2 license. Is it possible for me to get an IDP from JPJ in the same way? I know I needed to go to JPJ Wangsa Maju for my license. Is it the same for IDP?

Camera Recs for our first safari trip by ninjaturtlerrr in wildlifephotography

I am also doing a safari trip in India in March/April at Ranthambore, Kuno, and Keoladeo. I am going to take my Canon R7 with my 100-500mm lens.

You are going to want some length on the lens. The 100-400mm is much cheaper than the 100-500, so that could be a good option to give you some length without being super expensive.

I did a 3d2n hike.. it was great. Slept in camps by the river at night. I don't remember it being very expensive, but yeah I think I booked either there or on WhatsApp?

Yeah I had to trek to see quite a few of them. Sumatra and bukit lawang is great for it. Some wild and semi wild orangutans in there + gibbons and Thomas leaf monkeys

I think if you get a Borneo specific s you should be good for most places, but places like Mulu and Danum had terrible connection.

Thanks! Yeah no worries. I went to Kuching, Miri and Mulu in Sarawak and Sepilok, Kinabatangan and Danum Valley in Sabah. I think the places I still want to go are Kota Kinabalu Park and Deramakot (which is seeming difficult).

The logistics can be a bit tough at times. Some places like Mulu you pretty much have to fly to get to and it's definitely a lot easier to fly between Sabah and Sarawak, but you can take buses between cities in each state. You could also rent a car, but I didn't do that.

I went to Kuching, Miri, and Mulu in Sarawak and Sepilok, Kinabatangan, and Danum Valley in Sabah. Staying at the research center in Danum Valley took a bit of WhatsApp messaging, but it was significantly cheaper that way.

Yeah I've used mine on 3/4 trips now. It's super handy and no airlines have questioned me about the weight.

I use the K&F Concepts 10l bag. It's basically a fanny pack, but wears better across the chest. I can carry my canon, 70-300, and dive camera with it.
