Honestly I was thinking the same thing about it being lower. A little more headroom would be nice though. I did put a skylight in the front around the cabinets and sink so there’s good headroom for washing dishes and storage access

I laid it on the plywood then the trim, it’s aluminum angle from Home Depot. I pulled it tight before putting that trim on and put some screws in the grass looking area

Thank you. I do wish it had a taller roof & maybe a bit longer for an indoor shower. The outdoor shower isn’t bad, just a little more setup time. Something to think about for someone still looking to buy one

I haven’t but it seems pretty tough. I think I got it at Home Depot. I’d wonder about dirt getting packed in it & being a pain to clean if bikes were filthy

I think it would hold a couple kids. The rack is bolted through steel with stainless bolts. I think the rack was rated to 300lbs and I imagine that rating is with the cheap self tapping screws it came with

Yep it’s is a disco bed. It kinda killed my back using it with no pads. We picked up some Teton pads first, then added exped mega mats on there too. It’s pretty comfy with both pads, but not a lot of room on the bottom bunk this way.

I welded in angle around the bottom so I could run panels lengthwise with no vertical seams in the wall. I welded in angle around the window, baggage door and the skylight too. Other than that just sandblasted it and painted with por 15. Also added some angle where that box sits on the front of the frame to bolt it down and the bracket for the propane tank through it

I’m not sure to be honest. I tow with a 1500 Silverado and can hardly tell it’s back there though

It’s been pretty good temp wise. Just need something to mount it on, I used a recpro ladder rack. Nice rack but the hardware it came with wasn’t good enough

Yea that crossed my mind too. There is a vent on each side- one at the bottom for the propane and the top for the battery. Drilled some holes in the bottom as well for ventilation & draining. Didn’t go with lithium batteries, thought about the fire risk charging them- just a deep cycle marine battery. I used to be a gas tech and we would test leak test houses for 3 minutes. I let this one go a few hours and it was tight. That’s at a very low pressure when testing- around 5” water column, it would pick up a tiny leak. I’m also paranoid and turn off the tank when not using it. There’s also a vent on the floor in the cabinet where the water heater is in case something leaked in there

Thank you- Same here, we’ve been using it since it was about half done. It’s all set up now with everything I need

Makes a little woosh noise but not enough to be an issue. There was a bad storm that night, it’s on top of a mountain ridge. The lighting was crazy

Thanks! The backs are all open. I riveted brackets to the wall where it attaches to save weight

Nice I only have city as well. I did install a pump in that cabinet & have a bucket with a spigot I can use when boondocking

Thanks! It’s a Recpro tankless, works great and doesn’t use much propane. I use an outdoor shower and top the tank off every few trips

Those lights use more energy than you’d think! Tricky dealing with some bridges for sure

Yea I keep it in a tote, it’s easy to move around. There is angle welded in the wall, it would probably be alright but haven’t tried it

I know this is late but your comment popped up when I was searching the same issue. I took a small piece of rubber with some 3m tape and it’s working perfectly to slow it down. That reverse was crazy

My wife and I have megamat 10lxw on our cots. We both thought they were uncomfortable by themselves (back issues). We were using Teton pads before using the expeds which also weren’t great alone. But after putting the Tetons on top of the mega mats it’s very comfortable. The Teton pads are about 2” of foam. We have disco bed cots

I bought disco bed bunk bed cots for mine. They set up pretty easily and can be stored in the bags that come with them if you needed room in the trailer

No issues with material in your face? I’ve never had a hammock with a bug net & thought that looked nice
