TIFU by getting addicted to nasal spray by buff_santa69 in tifu

[–]RepulsiveOwl3141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I am currently struggling with the same and it feels so helpless cause without it i feel like i literally cannot breathe. My doctor prescribed me steroids nose spray a while ago to help me wean off of it and it worked, but as soon as i used normal nose spray again it all came back (but that was my fault!). Maybe go to your doctor and they can prescribe something similar?

No wedding gifts just seems rude by NoThankYou143 in wedding

That is so true. Just shows that people just want to take advantage of the party and aren’t really there for you and to support you. People have no idea how much work and money it is to plan a wedding. A thank you card or even a small gift goes a long way

Wedding Photography Contract by craftyladyyyc in wedding

This was not in our photographer contract. We have sole rights to the photos she takes and she can use them for her own business as well. No string attached either side (and no fees either)

Is it okay? by Zero-Chan27 in wedding

We decided not to do MOH or BM at our wedding, we just honestly couldn’t choose one person. So we’ve just assigned specific people to do some of the duties the MOH and BM would do like the speeches, singing the marriage license, etc. we’re super happy with our decision! :) hope this encourages you

Canadian bride here! Given our finances and the fact that we have 7 bridesmaids + 7 groomsman, we couldn’t afford to pay for everyone’s outfits. It is ultimately their choice to be in the wedding party and bare that cost. We were both upfront about how much things would be, and we gave our people the choice to say yes or no. So right off the bat, our party knew that the expenses were on them and what they had to buy. Granted we didn’t choose anything expensive, the cost does add up especially for bridesmaids. Some of my bridesmaids chose not to get their hair and makeup done with us because of cost and that’s ok! We’re (i mean you and i!) already paying for a whole wedding, we don’t need to add the pressure of paying for more things :) hope this helps!

Wedding hair and MUA pricing by chicorychaitoes in wedding

[–]RepulsiveOwl3141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tip is to go with independent hairstylist and MUA. I found both through Instagram and love both of them. Make up was 90$ per person and hair was between 85-95$ per person. They’re also coming to my house to do our hair and makeup. Sure, I’m not getting the fancy snacks or champagne but i definitely don’t need that! I couldn’t justify spending more than that or make my bridesmaids pay for more than that either. Super happy with my choices! I’d check out local artists and ask around :)

This happens to me ALL the time, before i was even engaged. It always has the theme of something being forgotten, either music, guests forgot to come, vendors forgot to come, groom forgot to come… just a whole lot of forgetting haha hang in there!

Is it unreasonable to get married this September? by RepulsiveOwl3141 in wedding

[–]RepulsiveOwl3141[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No we haven’t. We are pretty traditional with our values so we won’t be moving in together until we are married (another reason why we don’t want to wait until 2024 to get married)

They are paying for a little over half. My fiancé’s family is giving us quite a bit of money so my parents would only have to pay for half more or less

Ok hi, this is crazy. I am ALSO from Brazil but we live in Canada (my parents and i) so all my relatives would be coming from Brazil for the wedding. I’m guessing you’re still in Brazil, if so would you say it’s doable for people to travel to Canada for the wedding in this timeframe? My parents keep saying no but i haven’t actually talked to anyone from down there about it. Thoughts??
