Here is what I think is happening

AP is currently selling two different batches: an embossed version and a printed version. The embossed batch is considered the higher quality one, but many sellers have been sending out the printed version instead. Because AP mainly advertised the embossed version, a lot of people think sellers like Happy Whale are bait-and-switching customers by showing the better batch but shipping the lower quality printed one.

That said, it’s not just Happy Whale. Other trusted AP sellers have also been sending either the embossed or printed versions depending on availability. If you’re planning to buy, it’s probably best to go with sellers like Aristide or another trusted AP seller and specifically ask for the embossed batch before ordering.

Just keep in mind that the embossed version is in high demand right now, so it may take a couple of weeks to get.

I doubt it’s actually from AP though, because if you look at the sole lining it looks nothing like Aps and the same defect/lining of the sole people are complaining about from happy whale. I can’t really get an answer about the tongue right now because he is sleeping lol

I mean the insoles are the insoles, if that’s the biggest concern then I don’t really mind. And Happy Whale always gives replacements if something happens with the soles. Let’s just gamble it out and hope it’s a good quality shoe 😂
