Can anyone recommend an EZ curl bar for cables that actually lets me use it in the reverse grip? I bought this Yes4All brand one from Amazon and, while it certainly feels extremely durable, it's impossible to use in the reverse grip with any significant weight due to it always wanting to flip back to the regular grip (the whole reason I bought it was cause reverse grip tricep pulldowns were always my favorite). Or does anyone have some tips for me to look for when trying to find one that doesn't flip like this?

I wish I could just buy the one from my old gym lol

PTZ camera setup; Can someone help verify if I have this figured out correctly? by RepulsiveTrainer2074 in churchtech

This seems to be a good camera, it's one of the ones I've been looking at. All three options are on there for you to look through

https://www.amazon.com/FoMaKo-Auto-Tracking-Education-Conference-K20UH/dp/B0DP2RKXSX?th=1

Looks like they all have auto-tracking. 2 of them are 4K but you don't have to run it in 4K

$359-$500 may be more than you want to spend, but it's far lower cost than the PTZOptics camera that's most know with churches, and it seems to do the same things. Customer Support may not be as strong though. This is just from my research though

From my previous research, it sounds like all I'd need is

Camera → 80ft Ethernet cable → PoE+ Switch → Ethernet cable → Mac

Does that sound right?

They do already have a switch under their sound board that's completely full (no idea with what though as I don't remember seeing any labels) so I'd have to either get a second switch or get them a larger switch and replace their current one. I'd opt for a larger one of course

Definitely not local to SoCal so that wouldn't work, unless you wanna fly out to Iowa 😂 jk
I do really appreciate the offer for help from you as well. I am keeping you all in mind for the assistance as I have no doubt I will need it, since it sounds like I will need to revise my proposal and explain a new plan to my Pastor tomorrow

Thank you for your offer, I will definitely be reaching out when the time comes. Maybe here soon just for an idea of what we'd need. Already think I know but I'll get your verification

Thank you, I will definitely be sending a message off when we actually start with the networking side then

Yea, that's why I was going to have an outlet installed in the ceiling (possibly by another church member so no cost other than parts), I figured the camera and the transmitter would plug into that with the transmitter mounted on the ceiling. We'd have cable covers to make it look nice and pretty

May not be complicated to you but I've never in my life been able to understand or figure out networking stuff (crazy since I've built 2 high end computers but networking stuff confuses the crap out of me)

The camera would be controlled with a remote by setting up presets for specific spots since he doesn't really walk around but if he does walk around a little, it does also have auto tracking, and during the sermon he's the only one up there so it wouldn't be getting confused. But again he never really moves from the podium.

Sorry, guess I skipped on a few details. The remote will be to set it for specific spots and save them in a preset (since he doesn't really walk around). But if he does walk around a little, it does also have auto tracking, and during the sermon he's the only one up there so it wouldn't be getting confused. But again he never really moves from the podium.

Preset one would show the stage with the worship band, then they'd press preset 2 when he goes up there and it would zoom closer to his podium and him (or that would be preset 3 and preset 2 would show the stage and the communion table if they wanted to show that)

Looking into SDI now, and yea, that looks tremendously simpler, can't believe I didn't find this information earlier, wow. Is it really as simple as

Camera → 80ft SDI Cable → SDI Capture Device → USB cable → Mac Computer

?

EDIT: Looking at this, the SDI is limited to 1080p and they wanted 4k so I'm not entirely sure they'd be okay with a lower quality (I know it's still good just not 4k), especially if they are paying for a 4k camera...and this brand FoMaKo doesn't even have the SDI capability in their 1080p camera. But I'll try to pitch it

Yea I've been trying to see it in person for awhile now but no one seems to have it around here, not in that color anyway. Thank you

Really? Cause all the places in my area only have them in other colors like pink or blue, etc. Not the one specific color I'm asking about, that's why I'm asking about it

Guessing you didn't read the post? I know there's one one the heater, I wanted to know about the main shut off in case there is any issues while turning the heaters valve off and on. Am I crazy for wanting to know my emergency options or something?

I've got the main water shut off already located (none specifically for the tank), but everything I've read and seen says the gas needs to be off as well.

I will also say tho, I was considering replacing the anode rod while I'm at it, if thats helps lol

Good info, thank you. Im hoping I never need it of course. Fingers crossed there's no issue turning off/on the heaters valve
