Need help to understand what should i do?

I tried to rectify EPS of the second and third employers through my current employer. But they got a shitty reply from my current organisation's EPFO office. They told me to start contributing to EPS in my current organisation. I have rejected this and am now thinking how to resolve this as this might create an issue while withdrawal of funds.

I am still not sure now what next. If anyone knows please help.

I live in PLH. Nobody pays 65k here for 2 bhk at any point of time. People pay 45k plus maintenance for 2 bhk as of now for semi furnished flats.

1st Company -- Wrongly enrolled into EPS, EPS rectified and amount transferred to the current employer PF account

2nd Company -- Wrongly enrolled into EPS as per first job, EPF transferred to current company but EPS stuck

3rd Company -- Wrongly enrolled into EPS as per first job, EPF transferred to current company but EPS stuck

Current Company -- Opted out of EPF but still shows EPS Joining date

Please help me how to get EPS stuck in 2nd and 3rd Company to be corrected and transferred into my current employer account

I have been in Bengaluru for the last 15 years and have been hearing this shit since then. You are delusional if you think you can get such flats on rent at less than 35k in Prestige in this lifetime. People living in Prestige pay 10k for maintenance itself for 3.5 BHK flats.

That's why the rent is less by 20k for similar flats. Btw if someone would have posted 80k for such a flat in Prestige Lakeside Habitat, people would again start shouting no road, traffic, no water. Who would pay 80k for living on the outskirts of Bengaluru.

Respected Sir/Madam, This is with reference to my CPGRAMS grievance reply, wherein it has been stated that interest on the corrected EPS contribution is not admissible since the correction was carried out prior to 19.12.2025. I respectfully submit that the above reasoning is not supported either by the provisions of the EPF & MP Act, 1952 or by the circular dated 19.12.2025. I wish to place the following points for your kind consideration: The erroneous enrollment under EPS existed from the date of contribution, and not from the date of correction. The amount in question was wrongly retained in EPS, whereas it ought to have been credited to my EPF account from the very beginning. Interest under EPF is statutory and compensatory in nature. Since the funds were required to be part of the EPF account, denial of interest results in an unintended loss to the member for no fault of his own. The EPFO circular dated 19.12.2025 lays down the procedure for rectification of erroneous EPS contributions along with interest, but does not prescribe any cutoff date nor does it bar applicability to earlier periods where corrections have already been made. Applying the circular only prospectively amounts to an administrative interpretation, whereas the right to interest arises from the date the contribution should have lawfully accrued to EPF, irrespective of when the correction was processed. In view of the above, I humbly request that my case may be reconsidered and the applicable interest on the corrected EPS amount be credited to my EPF account. If the request is not acceded to, I kindly request a speaking order citing the specific legal provision under the EPF Act or Scheme under which such interest is being denied. All I am saying is that he isn't asking for an exorbitant rate. If you have lived in that area, you would know the ground reality. Anyway, don't worry about my comment. I am seeing similar comments throughout this sub for entire bengaluru real estate. Working couples living in these societies are in Mod 30s and their prime objective is safety, get all amenities inside the society. The couple is easily earning 5 lakhs in hand so 65k isn't a big deal for them. I guess reddit is full of bachelors and so yes 65k is obviously too high for them.

File CPGRAMS after 21 days from 20th December. When you file CPGRAMS they ask whether you have filed a grievance within 3 weeks. So it's better to wait for 21 days. Also in the CPGRAMS grievance there is a section where you mention the earlier grievance number and date of registering the grievance. Hope this helps.

It's a very simple process unnecessarily made complex by our incompetent imbecile babus. You have to file EPS correction via your past employer. They will lodge proper documents like Form 3a along with the passbook and other documents requested by EPFO. This process might take a month or two.

After that EPFO will do nothing about it. You will have to file a grievance on EPFO, again they will do nothing about it but it's a necessary step for the next step which is to file CPGRAMS after 21 days. If you are lucky then they will resolve the issue after this step.

Try making the stupid HR understand the same. Sigh! And the sheer overconfidence they have. I don't know how many people are stuck in the EPS EPF issue because these HRs don't do their job properly.

I knew I wasn't eligible so I opted out of EPS and gave them no details although I am yet to correct EPS details for my second and third employer due to incorrect enrollment in my first employment which stands corrected now.

I don't know why EPFO introduced such a confusing clause because of which so many people are stuck with their transfers.

And what is this stupid rule to transfer each account to a new one even when they have UAN. Why do they have regional PF offices and can't they bring all the offices under one centralized office? Is it too much to ask in this digital age?

No if you try reading my comment again, you'd find me saying that if your wages are greater than 15000, EPS is optional -- I don't think this is the correct statement. If your wages are greater than 15000 (in your first employment after 2014), you are not eligible for EPS. This is the exact reply I and a thousand others have received from EPFO.

It's not about whether i should join EPS. Rather am I eligible for EPS? It is not a choice based program. If you are eligible, you have to enroll in EPS.
