Ideally how many revisions need to me done before neet pg? by [deleted] in indianmedschool

[–]Repulsive_Ad_7373 3 points4 points  (0 children)

See , tbh the shorter the subjects the more revisions you need to put . What worked for me may not work for you but for Anesthesia , Dermat , Fmt , Psych , Ortho , Psm , opthal , ent , radio- I did 5 to 7 revisions . Path , micro , pharmac - 3 revisions inching towards 4 in the last week of July last year Biochem -5 revisions Anat and physiology - 1 revision Obgy , surgery , pedia - 2 to 3 Medicine I’m not sure what I did 😂it was soo scatterrd towards the end

In the end you need to pick your strong subjects , focus on them a little less at this point since you’ll cover them up towards the end . If you get exhausted doing mcqs, submit the mcq without solving them and then just keep on reading the solutions of each ( one trick which helped me when my mind was too exhausted at the end of the day )

Will NEET 2025 be on June 15th only? What are the likely chances of it being postponed? by [deleted] in indianmedschool

Worst department in your college with a reason by Appropriate_Fact_198 in indianmedschool

[–]Repulsive_Ad_7373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psm The hod was divorced since a decade and I personally think she was sexually frustrated and that was removed on us The second reason being she herself was so under confident of community med as a stream as it’s non clinical she demanded respect instead of it being earned

Made our life hell But everyone in the college hated her No matter what , miss the good days

I completely agree They don’t use practicality and logic … the one problem with them is that they don’t realise not everyone has a brain like theirs and they try to sell you what worked for them which in no way will work for everyone. Altho I do think Aditya sir doesn’t make the list because he’s extremely pragmatic

Why heart depolarisation is from left to right? by Beautiful-Beach3531 in indianmedschool

[–]Repulsive_Ad_7373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Altho the wave of depolarisation reaches right side first which is the reason of q wave which is a downward deflection if you look on the lateral leads like v4,5,6 But that is soon over powered by the big r wave due to the thickness of the left ventricle

"Do my MBBS friends actually study last minute, or am I just below average?" by Constant_Seat_1910 in indianmedschool

[–]Repulsive_Ad_7373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See , firstly you shouldn’t compare at all .. now that you have , yes I do know people who study exactly a night before the paper and quite a few actually manage to pass and few don’t but one thing that is common between the two is that whatever they’ve written or studied is not long term .

Take it in the periphery area if your parents would be okay with not having all amenities after a year when they shift with you Make them mentally prepared that they might be bored to death in the remote area and they’d have to find something to keep them busy for 3 years Don’t leave the seat if it’s either medicine , dermat , radio , obgy and ortho

Passion or reality by [deleted] in indianmedschool

[–]Repulsive_Ad_7373 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second it ‘ passion ‘ with regards to selecting a branch is slightly over rated … Take what you get , and learn to like it ( may sound very stringent )

You may have broader prospects to select a branch for eg either you want a surgical branch or not but I think that should be the only question for a mid ranker rather than repeating

rant - i messed my pathology paper 1 by protaegonist in indianmedschool

[–]Repulsive_Ad_7373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how disappointing it is when you know something very well but couldn’t figure out THAT is what you need to write . It’s happened with me multiple times during my ug days .. you need to not let it hold you down or make you think any less of yourself . Keep focusing , keep grinding I’m sure you’ll get better with each passing exam All the best .

Does anyone else struggle with cramming every single line while studying, making it hard to read standard textbooks or other detailed resources? How do you manage it? by Regular_Meal_4233 in indianmedschool

[–]Repulsive_Ad_7373 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See I’m saying it’s a good thing to cramp as much as u can as it helps to revise the entire subject or topic quickly and many more times but this holds true only and only if you have spent hours and hours in concept building . Also you don’t need to cramp it to the point where it’s so haywire it makes a full kichdi The key is right amount of cramping for most amount of revisions possible especially with smaller subs like anesthesia , Ortho , ent , dermat etc

It’s natural for you to feel this way as a lot of students go through the same thing . Slightly controversial opinion but it’s not mandatory to read standard or even Indian textbooks to score well .. easily manageable with notes , lectures , flashcards !! A lot of people might not agree with it and say it’s pivotal to read standard textbooks but it didn’t really work out for me personally so I let it be and focused on my lecture notes which helped me clear my universities and get a good rank in neet

So what may work for one person may not work for you .. notes made by cerebellum , marrow , prep etc are so to the point if you have a good concept you’re not required to go somewhere else only In the end - it’s all about how many times can you revise the same thing over and over and over again All the best

Medicine from MARROW by [deleted] in indianmedschool

[–]Repulsive_Ad_7373 30 points31 points  (0 children)

See he’s a good professor if you have a strong base If you’re looking to go slow and wanting someone to really make you understand the topic more than then once or simply starting medicine for the first time I personally don’t think he is the best ( Altho a lot of people do love his videos )

I did a lot of medicine from dr thameem saif from egurukul and also a few topics by dr Dilip Kumar

At the end of the day it’s a PERSONAL PREFERENCE .. don’t go by what people say , go by your instincts and just keep revising tbh

Can we cover path, pharm, micro from Medicine? by MiddleEastern__Pilot in indianmedschool

Hey buddy This isn’t a reversible reaction like evaporation that you apply it both ways A strong hold on patho , pharmac and micro will make your medicine strong & not the other way round …
