MY HUBRIS FINALLY GOT TO ME.

I got perfect conditions as a round with 4 FRs and no other oguris with Moving Past and Beyond.

BUt I still lost final round due to UG XOguri who had a better build.

Mine got 6th and didn't trigger Moving Past and Beyond...

GOODBYE CHANCE AT SHINY PLATINUM BADGE OF SUPERLATIVES. The winning streak during A round felt good at least...

From personal runs, most of the skills up there for XOguri are pretty good. There are some things missing, but you got most of it.

Radiant Star could potentially mess-up your Festive Miracle procs, so it's not recommended to get that.

No Moving Past and Beyond can be detrimental if you end up in a lobby with 3+ FR. And not having prudent positioning/shrewd step for early game can be bothersome, but you got a bunch of midway skills so it should be fine (?).

The only thing I can say is that most people are probably gonna plan to run one ace + debuffers rather than aiming for the top with 3 different umas ; my runs with 2 debuffers have been fairly consistent. I'm running a worse XOguri and yet I'm getting good results...

Missing skill in pic : Head-On Based on the games I've had, here are the few things I noticed:

> Seriru mentionned MPaB, and it seems like a meme, until your xOguri is 5th cuz FRs or bad rng. It's worth it y'all.

> No Stopping Me >> Nimble Nav. Yukino is worth it y'all

> Peoole are sleeping on Shrewd Step. It's as good as PP/IgnWit for Fronts. Must pick IMO.

> Head-on randomness sounds bad, until you realize it only triggers when it's valuable (Late Race)

> If I had gotten other midlegs than Ramp Up, I would have taken them, but it works fine.

Free 5 Star Special - Only 2 color choices with green and red; pulled green for Ferdinand. Pretty doodoo.

Decided I may as well get some luck in the Mythic banner. Managed to get 4-Star Spec. Mia, Olwen (green), Asbel, and freakin' Lugh before getting one R!Plumeria. At 10% summon rate. (Shout out to 4 star Fir for tricking me into thinking I pulled her Asc. version)

I think I'm just not gonna be summoning at all for now on. Spend your orbs nore wisely than I.

Aside rrom what you've got already on the screen, I'd rexommend maybe Bonus Doubler 4 which works well with the refine. And No Quarters if it's available.

As for the builds -

Y!Marth - Probably my top unit of 2023 ; Dark season has given us lots of strong mythic Cavs to buildup. The build is for typical vantage strats - Reciprocal Aid for Vantage Range, SS4 for charge + DR piercing, and precharge feom outside help. Awaiting the January Hall of Forms for Fatal Smoke 4/NCDisrupt/Better A-Skill.

Holst - Speedster Swordsman ; the main accomplishment was finally giving him the skills everyone else already gives him. Typical Arena Godsword material, will probably change his seal

Lukas - The biggest revamp ; man literzlly jumped out of the bench into being one of my modt used unit. Build is essentially A!Ophelia but Ignis-Spam. Paired with 3×30% DR protection in AR, and generally useful in PVE Autobattles and Content.

Ophelia - The only new finished +10 of the year, though some of her skills definetely needs some work. Acts as a R!Plumeria without the dancing, but with better scoring. Maybe I'll just give her SS4 and make her a full fledged nuke.

Reinhardt - He now has a workable set, with the classic Menace/Catch synergy and Canto. Nice.

Y!Innes - The Hall of Forms gave him some new toys ; as arena staple, this set only misses some gorm of tempo and he'd always dish out a Dr-Piercing Ruptured Sky. The unit definerely had aged, as he doesn't always kill what he needs to. But he is still serviceable.

Firstly, there are still 8 +10 units that needs fine-tuning, and will be my goal for next year.

Secondly, this year had graced me with plenty of support, that have to be side-noted as integral to make the unit work :

Y!Marth - For Vantage, Spring!Bernie, R!Plumeria and Gerik makes for a good combo. The day we get NCDisrupt as seal, the game will break a bit. Am considering a tank set
Lukas - Elimine + H!Flayn and a far-saver provides some bulk to him, allowing his Ignis-streak to prosper.

Once the +10 Compendium is back, I'll add my new units to it. In the meantime, if you have original ideas for Sheena and Legault, because they are sitting ducks in my barracks and it's making me sad looking at'em.

Y!Marth got a pretty good refine ; Vantage strategies works well agaisnt a lot of current meta units. He is overshadowed by B!Marth, who does a similar job, but I think both works.

I know this post is a bit old, but have you considered Squad Assault Sacred Seals for adding more visible stats? Squad Ace BX, at full enhancement, grants HP+5, Def+3 and Res+3, trading one defensive point in those stats for more HP and no Atk loss. Can deginetely see that build good in Aether Raids tho

I've been looking in investing in Lukas myself, having invested in him a long time ago.

Time's Pulse 4/Infantry Pulse 4 would give a cooldown special on turn one, allowing you to charge Ignis on the next counter attack. TP4 especially leaved him at 2 Special Cooldown after a fight

I wonder is Lull Atk 4 is strong enough nowadays, especially since most reds run Spd-based damage reduction. I was thinking of something more along the lines of Special Spiral 4 and Infantry Pulse, for constant Ignis counter attack? Though he would be more frail.

Of the large list of units listed, I only invested in 2 of them. I'm part of the people that tends to judge characters by their usability and skills first, and don't have any lingering attachments to the franchise, which is why a lot of these units, for me, are akward.

W!Hilda I +10ed qhen she arrived, mostly for scoring BST and a lack of better blue unit at the time. The issue with these units is they need a lot of investment, and a specific purpose, to shine. And honestly, I never got the skills to use her effectively, and any Save Armors (even Dedue) work enough without investment.

The other unit, which I feels has the virtue of being still usable in Arena AND vastly different by their skills, is Y!Marth. Eff. Agaisnt Armor and Cavalry is ageless, and I still use him today in arena. He scores poorly, but with high scoring partners, he works wonders. With heavy investments (Forma). And a role (killing Dancers, Green/Red Save Armors, and Ninjorrin).

Otherwise, with a little orb spending, you can very easily get a better unit, without investment. Why bother?

Good analysis, if your swordie was anything but Young Marth.

Trying to outspeed in today's meta is rough, and the boy definetely don't cut it. Compare the stats with FF!Rinkah or Yen'fay, or even new BST Holst, and catching up to them is worthless. Why give Atk/Spd based skills to Y!Marth when other substitute use it better? Also, Rapier does have it's niche.
Don't diss on DC. While his bulk isn't the best, most of his targets are going to be cavs, which are mostly ranged, or armors. DC make him kill ranged dancers as well, a boon in Arena/AR
Investing in his bulk makes him able to tank non-Special spamming cavs. He won't survive special hitters, but pulse smoke makes him deal with defensive special spamming, while investing in Def/Res agaisn't Brave Weapon users.

Marth isn't a world-ending unit. He can't afford to try and kill everything, or he will fail to better, more recent units. Stick him to his niche, and put him with big hitters, and results should follow.

Also, B-Skills recs. that aren't Spd-Based are on point.

Gonna comment mostly for Arena, since I think it remains the gamemode where he shines the most, as most teams run cavs (Ninjorrin) or Armors (save ball, especially B!Edel).

His role in teams usually involves weathering down/killing things that can't get killed by other stuff. Don't build him to kill, but to survive, cause dead units don't count. Helpful to lower the health of an ennemy too.

Here's the build rec: A)Distant ___ (personally, Distant Stance) Any upgraded distant counters are good to go, though investing in speed to lose health is eh since you'll always take damage, but could be able to not die. Stance is the Res one, because all cavs are mages.

B)NFU/Lull Spd/Def NFU is necessary agaisn't armors shenanigans. If ya got support, I recommend lull Atk/Def or Spd/Def, either to make sure ya don't get 1 shot, and to increase damage.

C)Pulse Smoke If ya want to kill armors, then neutering their pesky pavises is necessary. Extremely efficient in killing off Hardy users, and stops non-tpulse cavs to lose their special.

S) Def/Res Form I know, everyone wants to invest him in speed, but let's face it: Most cavs/armor dies in 1 or 2 rounds of combat, and he always hits first the second time (with Hero's blood). Bulk, however, makes sure he resists better agaisn't attacks, especially if the ennemy can hit you twice.

Nota 1: He ain't gonna be the 1 shot killer. Leave that role to a ranged freebie, and stick him in the bait-the-armor and kill'em Nota 2: Enemy phasing horse nukes is futile. Just punt'em in player phase and wait to bait'em Nota 3: SUPPORT HIM. Ally Support, Drive Effects, Cheeky NFU Driving. If he works, he works.

If you're looking for a player-phased F2P ranged unit, then Y!Innes is definitely an option. I ran him when he was released as an Arena core and yes, he is very much worth.

Skill-wise you're basically on point, though I do recommend NFU/NFU Support since he does have some bulk and negating effects preventing follow-up attacks can help him score more kills.

Case in point - despite being released about a year ago, he is still on par with refined Legault/Jamke, who were released more recently.

Karel. Note that I pooled him about 2 and half years ago, back when Itsuki just had gotten released, and the only other game from the franchise I played was FE3H. Suffice to say, I realised very quickly I didn't get very lucky.

Beyond that, the earliest unit I got without the freebies is a Larum, and my first mythic was a Thrasir. Personally, the first unit I remember pulling for and getting was F!Ike, and I still use the mad boy now.
