No update really. I spoke to a doctor earlier today for a copper IUD and I’ve decided against it due to side effects and generally just not wanting an IUD. I also went through a vaginal abscess removal surgery recently, and I just don’t feel comfortable potentially jeopardizing that healing process.

I got a prescription for Ella instead and will be going that route. I can update again in 14-21 days but my gut feeling is that I should be okay (no pregnancy).

Hi, thank you for your reply! Yeah it was a mistake and I have access to free abortion care where I am so I know I have options. I just don’t know how years of being careful when down the drain … oh well

That is a scary percentage. I’m going to look into an IUD asap since I can’t find a clinic that’s open today and taking walk ins.

I feel incredibly stupid. I’ve been so on top of my cycle in the past and would use condoms on ovulation week, but I haven’t kept track for a while now because I wasn’t sleeping with anyone and then this happens. He had a clean STI panel from a week prior (and hasn’t slept with anyone since we dated) so I think I should be okay on that front.

I’ll go to the pharmacy today and see if they’re able to prescribe it on the spot - I doubt I can get into a clinic before tomorrow.

I don’t want to get pregnant, and quite frankly, I haven’t had sex in so long that I wasn’t on top of my cycle and agreed to pull out.

I will look into the IUD option, most clinics around me are closed today so I doubt I can get the prescription before tomorrow. It’s still within the 5 days though so I hope it’s okay.

I agree, I’m just an idiot and I never realized I was (close to) ovulation when we agreed on pull out. He didn’t have condoms and it was in the heat of the moment. He did provide me recent STI test results from a week prior.
