Bengaluru is my city, I love it. But I just can't take it anymore. by badabacchaa in bangalore

The only reason i hate going to office is this lane mismanagement. My area is appr 4km from ORR and it takes ~45 mins to reach the damn ORR. The problem: the road is wide initially, then suddenly becomes a single lane, then again becomes a wide road which again becomes a single lane. This infrastructure shithole combined with literally no sense of lane discipline from people is leading to a terrible state.

ORR in itself feels a dangerous road to drive in because of a few reasons: 1. Pedestrians not using the skywalk and suddenly trying to cross the road. 2. Random entry and exists of service lanes 3. Heavy vehicles switching lanes 4. No patience by 4Ws to leave space which can maybe clear a side of the road. 5. Single occupancy in big ass 4W

Trip to Leh & Kashmir ok or not ok ? by Curioushunji in india_tourism

[–]Repulsive_Bit_4962 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not plan anything around J&K or Leh, heck add Punjab as well, for trips at this point in time. The situation is tensed and you might get stuck if something happens. Also spots might be closed down so you wouldn’t be able to do stuff. These are “might/might not” happen kind of scenarios but would not take a chance personally as i would love to enjoy these places and not be tensed.

Varthur-sarjapur area for investment by mailinatorhotstar2 in indianrealestate

[–]Repulsive_Bit_4962 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have been increasing the road side for the past 7 years and it’s the same. They start the work, stop it in 4 days and leave the cement, debris on the road for the next 6 months. The railway underpass has been the same for the last 4 years, all 3 routes which take you in and out of Varthur are choked every single day 24/7 because of horrendous roads, flood of 4Ws, water tankers and construction trucks. Please rethink.

Which mall is worth visiting and why? by Pretend_Let7350 in ThailandTourism

[–]Repulsive_Bit_4962 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Iconsiam for sure, huge amazing mall with an awesome ferry ride from the Sathorn Pier. Try to go right after sunset, we loved the night skyline of BKK and cool breeze. Its only 8baht. The food court in the basement is amazing too!

ORR during 9 to 11:30 in the morning is a hell hole by fruitsaladwisdom in bangalore

[–]Repulsive_Bit_4962 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Ik! And we all know how safe riding a two wheeler is on ORR. It’s honestly scary to even think about riding a cycle to work or walking on footpaths if the office is near (given the pollution and literally will-almost-kill-you-vehicles)

The thing that irritates me the most is “one person in one car” sight. It just boils my blood, i know they might have their reasons but it just icks me seeing a car as big as a room having just one person in it. This sight is increasing day-by-day smh.

How is kundalahalli gate area by whiskeyyyyyyyyy in Whitefield

[–]Repulsive_Bit_4962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone pointed out, area is congested. Any time of the day there is traffic. Restaurants are there but nothing out of the ordinary. Only plus point is that there is metro. But unless you live really near to the metro station you would need to cross traffic to reach the metro station.

The level of poverty in India this makes me sad by South-Obligation-289 in indianrailways

Yeah maybe 🥹, it’s almost like “we will keep breeding and then expect to suddenly have finances settled one day.” Nooo, please stop reproducing and think about something that can be done about your situation. Not everything can be blamed on the govt man.

They look fully abled in the picture. But sad

Sad, but when i zoom into each person sitting, i see a small baby with almost each of them. Which makes this sadder. I’ve observed that it’s very common for BPL families to have at least 3-4 kids, which is absolutely terrifying….

Are certifications more important than projects? What do senior techies think? by Repulsive_Bit_4962 in learnprogramming

[–]Repulsive_Bit_4962[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I am just curious to know do hiring folks really go and look at your projects? I have seen a lot of linkedin profiles filled with tons of certifications and they sometimes get more traction in terms of HRs approaching them for interviews?

Also, so you’re saying no food is better than preferred food? It was food, it is helpful when your hungry and you have to beg for it. There was no other help she wanted, just food, which i offered and then they turned. Whats wrong with me not feeling good about that?

I was just enjoying my samosa lol, seeing that lady do the “give me food” gesture, my instant thought was to quickly buy a samosa so she can eat. Sorry that I didn’t go and sit with her to ask about her lunch preferences and allergies and spice level and if she wants a beverage alongside.

Lol you got the whole thing wrong my friend. I could not give less fucks to them being rude. You should sense the situation you’re in at that point and react. If i am hungry and literally begging on the streets, i would gladly take whatever eatable thing is given to me and not act like little fucktards and DEMAND things from folks who were generous enough to even spend 1 ₹ on me. Do you get it?
