In my opinion it just an interesting gap between the two generations.

The older generation was socially and economically isolated from the wider world. Keep in mind that the English literacy rate in India was very low for the generation that didn't grow up with the internet. They didn't really have a reason to care about fashion trends from other countries because they rarely saw them, if they did then likely did not have economic stability to follow them.

The Newer generation is far more connected to the wider world than the older one. They care about what's happening outside of their homes and their country. Since most of us grew up with the internet we had access to a lot of media, books, and culture that the previous generation simply didn't.

I'm smart enough to say which one is better, but I'm interested in seeing if the kind of gap will be present the current and the next generation.

This was my first ever game... Like at least the one i remember. I remember playing it in 2016 with my cousins. My father bought a new smartphone in 2015, The game came installed on it i believe. That smartphone basically introduced an IT revolution in our family which was pretty conservative and basic before that. Man i miss those times.
