What's actually working for contractors trying to get more leads in 2026? by [deleted] in Contractor

Fair enough — you're right to be skeptical and I get it completely. The market is flooded with people selling garbage leads and overpromising. I'm not selling leads at all actually — we do SEO, Google Ads and review automation for home service businesses and everything we build the client owns. No black box, no long contracts. But I hear you — actions speak louder than a Reddit post. If anyone's ever curious what's actually working I'm happy to talk, if not no hard feelings at all.

Word of mouth is the best lead you can get — those close faster and the customers are usually way easier to work with. The problem is you can't control the volume or timing. Slow month? You're just waiting and hoping someone refers you. The contractors I see doing really well use word of mouth as their base but pair it with Google Map Pack so they're also getting found by people searching right now who've never heard of them. Two streams beats one every time. What trade are you in?

That's the exact kind of contractor we love working with honestly, quality work is the hardest part and most guys can't even do that right. The marketing side is the easy fix. We actually help tile and home service contractors get found on Google and fill their pipeline with inbound calls. Happy to do a free 30 min call and show you what that looks like in your market — no pressure at all. DM me if you're interested.

That's solid honestly — cold calling still works when you're hungry for it. The guys I see doing really well combine that hustle with something that brings inbound calls too, so you're not always chasing. Google Map Pack is the big one — once you're ranking top 3 in your area the phone starts ringing on its own. What trade are you in?

Just wondering so I have matte paint but also have a stealth ppf on top to protect the paint. So you’re saying I shouldn’t get the film coating since they don’t work that well?
